Jadestar was quite interested by the tale and did not notice for a moment that Shadeheart was speaking to her.
"Oh, not yet, Shadeheart." she answered.
"I don't plan to hurt them unless they plan on killing us."
Her claws had unsheathed slightly and dug into the dirt.

Shadeheart's tail flicked in an unsatisfied way. If they wanted herbs for the clan then someone would have to get to Big Claw Island to get those herbs. She uneasily glanced at Leafong's herb storage. It was small and meak, this wasnt very comforting to her if Oceanclan did decide to attack. "If they do decide, to attack, then we would be less able to recover from an attack without any herbs. I would suggest someone sneak over there and collect some herbs without notice." Shadeheart turned her head back to Jadestar. |

Leafsong was interested about the tale,but when she heard about Big Claw Island,she started to worry.

One-ear lay outside enjoying the story that the loner was telling, but she kept her ears pricked to the conversation on the battle over Big Claw Island. She stood up and padded over to Jadestar stretching her muscles as she went. "I have to agree with Shadeheart, Jadestar, we are low on our supply of herbs. We should go and restock." she said looking intently into her leader's eyes.

"Yes, you're right, of course. Excuse my clouded judgment." Answered Jadestar, tail flicking to and fro as her jade eyes scanned the coming crowd.
"Any volunteers?"

Dawnstorm had happily watched her kits get excited over the story, and Marblekit was very drawn into the story as well as her brothers. Dawnstorm listened as they spoke of Big Claw Island. She sighed, so much blood would be spilled over that place. "I know Blackpatch would like to go, shes been itching for something to do all day." She smiled a little, and then turned back to watch her kits. It was obvious she didn't want to linger on the subject, it made her uneasy. [/size] |

Blackpaw lept up from his nap as soon as he heard about Big Claw Island. "Can I go?" he asked Jadestar intently. The young black tom's tail waved back and forth happily.

Shadeheart's tail flicked with a slight annoyance. She had sugested only one cat should go and neither a medicene cat or apprentice would suit the job. Even though she had not voiced it, she had hoped Jadestar would pick her. "Well, only one cat should go not to alert the other cats that are probably possisioned there. And we'd need an experienced warrior that could out run Oceanclan if it came down to it." Shadestar said. She aimed it mostly at the apprentice and Leafsong. |

Midnight sat up proudly. "I'm your cat," He meowed. "I'm used to running so I'm fast, I know what to look for, and it won't start a Clan war if they find a loner; they'd probably just chase me away or something." He cat-grinned.

Blackpaw frowned for a moment, but he knew Shadeheart was right. "I agree with Shadeheart, and Midnight should go since he is a loner. He wont attract as much attention as clan cats would." he said trying to hide his discontent.

Fogkit watched everyone's moments and shrink back against Dawnstorm. His shyness was getting to him again and all he wanted to do was be beside his mother for comfort. Midnight dipped his head. He knew, and hoped his hosts would know, that while he stayed in a Clan or its boundaries, he would fight in it as if he were a loyal cat born to that Clan. The tom began to groom his pelt; somehow he always felt like he could run faster when he was cleaner.
