Tigereye was on the shore of IslandClan's territory, looking out to Big Claw Island. The tide was out enough that it was not necessary to swim much to get there, which was fortunate. The leaf-bare weather made the salty water freezing and deadly. In green-leaf, the water was warm and inviting but not now... now, it was trouble enough just to have to dip your paws in the water.

Tigereye was just observing for right now. He wanted to make sure no OceanClan cats were on their island. A scowl came across his face. If he were to spot one, the deputy wasn't sure if he'd be able to control himself...

"Tiiiigereyeeee!" sung a high voice and some thudding and rustling. A large thrashing and more rutling and a small she-cat leaped out of the bushes. Shortly after, a white, black, and brown bundle of fur came skidding to a halt beside the deputy. She had a playful, energetic, and a somewhat apprentic-y fun look on her face. "What 'cha doin'?" she asked, looking up at her mentor with her striking blue eyes, bouncing around.

Tigereye looked to his apprentice. "Full of energy, as usual I see." He mused kindly.

He soon returned his peircing gaze to the claw shaped island. He hadn't spotted any movement, which was good. OceanClan cats wouldn't stand a chance against him, they were lucky they were staying home right this minute... but Tigereye knew they were messing around when he wasn't watching.

Whitepaw stopped bouncing around and tilted her head to the side, her mouth from in an O shape. "Wha' cha' lookin' at?" asked Whitepaw, trying to pinpoint where the large tom was looking.

A large golden tom appeared out of the bushes behind the two cats and began to make his way over to them. Eaglewing gave a friendly smile and then shifted his icy gaze to the island before them. He too was waiting for Oceanclan to attempt to take their island. It'd been a while since he'd caught them at it and he was getting annoyed at the fact that they were getting sneaky. As he came up beside the two cats he mewed a greeting and dipped his head slightly to Tigereye then sat next to them.

"I'm not looking at anything. Fortunately..." Tigereye muttered the last part, but then smiled a friendly smile at his energentic apprentice. "Just patrolling Big Claw Island." He explained finally.

As Eaglewing came over, Tigereye nodded at the Warrior. "Big Claw Island is clear. It's been a while since an OceanClan cat has dared to set paw on it... but I know it's coming."

Ealgewing nodded in agreement. "It's been to long since they've tried to attack us, it's making me a bit nervous." He mewed, still surveying the island with his icy eyes. The large golden tom got up and stretched; his muscles rippling under his pelt, he then sat back down and began to wash, still keeping an eye on the island.

Tigereye nodded, "Oh, they aren't attacking because they are simply planning something... I know Taintedstar's mind enough to know she is probably conjuring up a huge plan and whatnot..."

The deputy's green eyes glinted and narrowed slightly. He couldn't stand that's headstrong calico she-cat. He preferred to not speak with her at gatherings, but of course, he was polite. He had to represent IslandClan and he didn't want to appear prude and unprofessional in front of enemy Clans.

Eaglestar grinned knowing how much Tigereye dispised Oceanclan's leader. "I know they're planning something; that's what I'm afraid of." He mewed solemnly, his gaze flickering to Tigereye and back again to the island.

When Leafsong reached the shore of IslandClan's territory,she saw Tigereye,Whitepaw,and Eaglewing.
"Hi Tigereye,no sign of OceanClan,I hope?" she meowed,dipping her head.

Midnight followed Leafsong. The jet tom kept alery for any signs of OceanClan, knowing it was almost inevitable that they would find an OceanClan patrol on the island. He had a premonition of sorts, and wanted to tell Leafsong. Well, it wasn't exactly a remonition, more like a bad feeling settling itself in the pit of his stomach that OceanClan would try to take the claw-chaped island soon- whether or not it be when the medicine-gethering patrol were on the island. Nodding respectfully to Tigereye, Midnight whsipered to Leafsong, "Can I speak to you for a moment?" He flicked his tail towards a large tree which they could stand behind, and the jet tom was sure nobody would be able to hear them.

Whitepaw's voice quieted for some moments as she listened to the conversation, her tail swishing back and forth, her enrgy not yet used. So this Big Claw Island thing is a big deal....I wonder why they want it so much? thought Whitepaw, looking at the ground, her eyebrows furrowed.

[Lunar]

Blackpaw crept slowly onto the island. 'Shadeheart's going to be so mad at me.' he thought quietly. He could see Whitepaw, he slowly padded up to the she-cat and sat beside her. "Are you here to mess around with Tigereye or did you come here to do a job?" he asked her intently.He curled his tail around his paws and kept looking around in case Shadeheart saw him.

Leafsong looked at the sky.It was slight dark,and was very cloudy.A chilly wind blew,and she shivered.

Tigereye shook his head gently, "No. Not a sign." He said to the medicine cat. His tone made it clear he was supicious, however. It had simply been too long since OceanClan had attempted an attack... something was up.
