Pacing impatiently, Midnight shivered as a breeze swept across the shoreline. Turning to the medicine cat, he trotted over to her side and whispered into her ear, "I have a bad feeling about this... I have a premonition that even if they don't attack now, during this expedition, OceanClan will attack and try to take Big Claw Island soon."

Eager to get their expedition over with, Midnight slunk over to the edge of the water so as not to attract attention if a patrol actually was on the island. Turning back, he awaited the others.

He shifted his paws on the ground and smirked at Whitepaw. "Apparently I'm here to get in trouble with Shadeheart. I was told to stay at camp, but I came anyways." he said with displeasure. "Anyways, have you seen any OceanClan cats today?" he said trying to change the subject.

"Yes sir." he said quietly lowering his head in shame. "I wanted to come and help with something, anything actually. There's nothing to do in camp, and I want to be useful to my clan." he looked up to him with strong eyes.

"I see," Tigereye said calmly. Then a small but fond smile formed on his face. "Well you better watch out for Shadeheart when you go back." The Deputy joked.
Although the apprentice had been told to not come here, Tigereye wasn't going to punish him. Really he didn't see the harm in having him here, so there was no need. Besides, it wasn't his apprentice. After that thought, Tigereye looked to Whitepaw. This was only the second apprentice he had ever had. [/size] |

"I'll pray to StarClan thta you don't have to pick fleas out of the elder's tails...." said Whitepaw playfully, putting her tail on his shoulder and giving him a mock look of sympathy. "Hey, Tigereye? Need me to do anything?" she said, back to bouncing around.

Blackpaw playfully stuck his tongue out at Whitepaw and stood up beside the bouncing furball. "If there is anything to do, can I help Whitepaw?" he asked the deputy curiously. He turned his gaze over to Whitepaw, moving his head up and down to the rhythm of her bouncing. "Can you please stop bouncing Whitepaw?" he asked with his head still going up and down.

"Nothing odd yet..." Murmured Midnight, opening his mouth to scent any approaching danger. "I'll go ahead to see if there'll be any trouble." Wading into the water, Midnight swam the rest of the way to Big Claw Island. Looking around, he called, "Nothing wrong yet!"

Leafsong followed.She waded carefully into the water,and when the water was too deep for her,she started to swim,and reached Big Claw Island.

Tigereye thought for a moment. "Well Whitepaw, you could go fetch the elders something to eat. Maybe hunting will calm you down." The mentor teased. "Blackpaw can help you."
The deputy turned to watch Midnight and Leafsong wade out to the Island. The tide was low enough for swimming to the land but it was more than likely cold due to leaf-bare yet the cats were use to it. He really hoped there'd be no one on the Island. Tigereye wasn't in the mood to strike an enemy down in front of the two apprentices right yet. He was a lot different when he went into his defensive and Clan protecting state of mind... he was told he was almost frightening. [/size] |

"I'll never stop bouncing.....And as for the calming.....You'll see! C'mon, Blackpaw!!" said Whitepaw in a triumpet voice. She turned around, skidded in the mud, and disappeared into the bushes once more. "Slow!" came Whitepaw's distant voice.
