Sunrise sat on a warm rock gazing across the lake as the sun rose over the horizon, and its reflection glistened beautifully over the ripples of water. Sunrise closed her eyes and went to sleep under the warm rays of sunlight

Breathing heavily, the tiny paws of Copperkit noisily thumped as he walked, no matter how much snow layered the ground. He had somehow gotten away for the view of his sister, Redwing, and the leaders watchful eye. He wanted to explore the territory without any older cats bossing his around.
The russtle of a small rabbit sturred Copperkit from his curious gaze from the trees. He crouched down, just like he had seen Redwing do, and stalked forward. The rabbit was minding its own business, and it obviously hadn't seen the kit yet.
"Your mine little bunny." He muttered as he pounced. But sadly, Copperkit had made too much noice and the rabbit got away. He frown to himself. "Darnit. Maybe next time." He wagged his tail happily as he continued his exploring.
Copperkit then realized he had travelled all the way to Frog Lake. "Wow!" He said to himself. "My sister will never believe me when I tell her!" His tail wagged more, as he raced toward the lake.
When he got there, he noticed another cat on the rocks. It was Sunrise! He smiled, then crouched down as if hunting that rabbit. Too bad his fur stood out like a sore thumb in the snow. He crept forward, and was a fox length away and all was well, until he stepped on a twig. Snap! "....Oops.." |

Sunrise jumped at the sound o a crack, she whipped around to see Copperkit, "You're not supposed to be out on your own." she frowned at him, "I wonder how Redwing will feel about this." she soweled at Copperkit.

His tail continued to wag happily, even if he was frowning. Copperkit then puffed himself up in defence of Sunrise's comment. "I can take care of myself! Besides, Redwing will enjoy the stories I tell her when I get back." He smiled, then jumped up on a nearby rock to poke at the semi frozen water. The shadows of tiny pond fish visible through the ice. "And your here with me now anyways, I don't think I'll get in trouble now." |

"I didn't escourt you here, and you should have never left the camp without an escourt! I will take you back now" she said with a strong voice.

"Copperkit?" Came a timid voice.
A very small form slipped out from a bush, his golden fur spotted black giving away his identity. Leopardkit meekly exposed himself once he realized Sunrise was with Copperkit. Oh, he was going to get in so much trouble!
He had noticed Copperkit slip away again and was worried for his friend. There were so many dangers in the forest and it was not safe for small kits. Leopardkit couldn't just sit and wait for Copperkit to come back. He decided he'd follow his friend and make sure he came back to camp safely where they both belonged!
Leopardkit had to admit it had been fun trekking freely through the forest, but now that the two had stumbled on Sunrise they'd get in big trouble back at camp... [/size] |

Copperkit turned back to Sunrise. "If I had asked for someone to take me to Frog Lake, they would have said no!" He pleaded before glaring at her, then added under his breath. "Besides, your not my sister..." He looked away, still angered until he heard his friends voice.
"Leopardkit!" He grinned happily, his tail wagging slightly again. He was relieved he had come to find him. Would Sunrise still want to take them back to camp? Probably. Hawkstar would understand, Copperkit thought him to be the more kinder in the camp, they wouldn't get in trouble for wanting to explore. Copperkit smiled. |

Talonclaw stepped out of the reeds."What's going on here?" Then,seeing Copperkit and Leopardkit,he frowned and meowed "Kits shouldn't be out of camp.What are you two doing here?"

"Talonclaw, I took them here, no one else would take them and they wouldn't stop begging me, she I kinda gave in. Sorry." Sunrise hung her head low.

"I know they will be safe with you,Sunrise,but kits being out of camp is a really dangerous matter.They might get caught by wolfs,or other wild animals." Talonclaw replied.
