Arrowfeather swelled with pride, looking down at her new apprentice, Duskpaw. They stood in a large clearing, the trees whispering softly above them on the beautiful new-leaf day. "Ok, Duskpaw, let's start with the basics. One thing that every cat needs to learn how to do is hunt," she said, calmly. An apprentice!! she thouhgt giddily.

Duskpaw excitedly but composedly made his way to the clearing with his mentor. Nodding cheerily, he dropped into a hunter's crouch and crept forwards a few paces. Standing back up, he trotted back over to his mentor. The gray apprentice awaited his next excercise.

Duskpaw thought for a moment before dropping into a crouch that betrayed no sound. "A mouse would feel the vibrations of my paws on the forest floor before I could react. Then I wouldn't be able to catch it." Rising again, he hesitated. "A bird... They can't smell very well but they have sharp eyes, so you'll need to keep still and quiet when hunting them and wait for them to get close enough." Again creeping forwards, he remained stone-still.

"Exactly!" said Arrowfeather. She thought for a moment. "Now on the fighting skills, and then we might catch some prey," she said, crouching. "Claws sheathed," she said, retracting her own claws.
((when is she confined to the camp?))

Duskpaw nodded vigorously. His first training session was going great so far. The ideas of fighting and hunting appealed to him; someday, Duskpaw knew, he would do these things for his clan as a warrior. He would be the best!

((*sigh* Honestly Arrowfeather, you have a memory like a sieve -- or better yet, no memory at all. >.<
Remember when Hawkstar confined Arrowfeather, Sablestripe, and Dawnleaf to the camp because they brought Keiogo and Kia?))

((Well, just pretend that she didn't remember about that. ;_; I just messaged Kato again and she knows they're out training and is doing the ceremony right afterwards. ^.^

Duskpaw was confused for a second.What? Then he remembered what he was doing. Rocking on his haunches, he sprang to the side and tumbled left straight into Arrowfeather.
