A mouse rustled in grass, its fur shabby from the tediously long leaf-bare. Quivering, it chomped on a seed. Not far from it, Silver, looking for herbs and remedies, caught its scent. Drinking in the delicious scent, she crept towards it. Just as she was about to pounce, a crow spotted her silver tabby fur and crowed an alarm. Not that it normally would have mattered, but fortune was not on Silver's side, and so the wind had changed, alerting the mouse shortly before the crow's outbreak. Rouning on the bird, it flew away with one malevolent glare from Silver. Horrible, nasty, rude creature, she thought sulkily. She spotted some catnip. Catnip! She crept over to it cautiously, in ase soemone else had scented it. Nope! She could bring it back. She picked a few of its green leaves and began her way back to camp; the road was long and all sorts of things could happen on the way. She smirked, remembering her clever hay-and-catnip mix. This disabled fever, and once fever had set in, this remedy was sure to cure it, as sure as the she-cat's name was Silver.

A weary black tom trudged along. It had been a long journey from the foreign JungleClan land, but here he was... wherever here was.
Keiogo wasn't sure where he was trying to go, but he knew one thing for certain: he didn't want to be near any Clan cats. All times of contact he had had with any it turned out negative. The JungleClan cats hadn't been so bad... but he could tell some of them would've preferred to see him dead. Memories of other Clans came to mind but he pushed them back.
"Where are we?" Kia asked. She had been fairly quiet since the depature of the forest.
"I'm honestly not sure." Keiogo replied, green eyes scanning the area cautiously.
The black tom had been feeling on edge for the past little while. It was just strange how they hadn't come across any cats since they left. There had been scents at the large rocks the two had passed, but they were very faint and stale.
Keiogo led Kia along to where they were going. She had been fairly quiet after leaving JungleClan's land. As usual, she didn't seem bothered that the Clan cats had given her strange looks due to her unexpected hostility. It was just the way Kia was... she didn't care what others thought about her and her behaviour. In fact, she didn't care really about others. Keiogo looked back at his daughter, who smiled fondly. The tom couldn't help but smile back.

Walking, she stepped quietly, making sure that her steps didn't make a sound. There was a slight breeze and was blowing mostly in her direction. Muted looked for Silver, the breeze told her that she was near, Silver's scent was clear to her. Muted had started to stalk after a mouse when the scent of a strange, unfamiliar smell entered her nose. She snareled to herself. Trespassers The smell definitly wasn't of a Clan warrior. Rouges Her sneer turned into a grin, maybe she could persuade them to join DarkClan. New members were always welcome. She then clung to the shadows as if she was a part of them. Muted slowly made her way toward the stranger. She was surprised when she saw that there were two of them. Muted hid in the shadow, making sure the wind was blowing towards her. She squinted, he looked very familiar.

Keiogo stopped to rest on a large rock. Kia followed him silently and immediately curled up to make herself comfortable. She looked around the empty surroundings with sleepy eyes.
Keiogo sat beside his daughter, there fur touching slightly. The tom was thankful for his daughter's presence. He would never let anything happen to her if he could help it...
Keiogo looked around again. This land was familiar in a way. It was like where he grew up, but it smelled a bit different. His old home must not be far off. Sudden memories came to mind about his parents and of other things. He suddenly became leery of where he was... Those cats he had heard about didn't live around here, did they? The Clan that was not a Clan...
Kia sensed her father's sudden anxiety, blinking, "What's wrong?" She asked quietly.
Keiogo shook his head, "Nothing. Just thinking..." He trailed off as he thought he heard something. No, it was just in his mind. He was causing himself to get all jumpy now...

Silver heard talking in the distance, and twitsted her ears, sharpening the sounds. Opening her mouth and drinking in the scents, she recognized Muted. Is she looking for me? Silver thought. But another scent hit the roof of her mouth. Rogues... She sneered. Well, rogues might make good recruits for her Clan; she wouldn't be surprised if they didn't join, however, because DarkClan had a reputation for being cruel, especially to Clan cats. They smell like a Clan... Silver thought nastily. Clans are just pitiful fools who harbor the hope that they will someday become leader. Typical. She drew closer, hiding in the brush; her silver pelt blended in with the moon's shadows. She almost sighed aloud when she saw that they were in no way part of any clan. I'd love to have ripped them to shreds if they had been, Silver thought. Unsheathing her claws just in case, she watched the two with unblinking eyes, still well hidden.

Crooking her head to the side slightly, Muted soaked in this toms appearance. It was so familiar that it ate away the the back of her mind. Suddenly, without warning, Muted realized who this cat was. If she wasn't paying attention she would have gasped and gave herself away. This gave the she-cat a great idea.
Stepping forward, Muted made sure only her legs were visible in the pale light. "Well, well, well. I never thought to see one such as you in my territory. Tell me, why are you here.... Keiogo." Muted grinned evilly, though it probably wasn't noticable to them since her face was well hidden in the shadows. Her leather collar looked dull, but the silver ring shone in the faint light.

Noticing Muted walking over to the outsiders, Silver bid her time for at least a few more moments. What is she doing? Thought Silver as Muted spoke. If she knew this... Keiogo... was he her friend or enemy? She didn't sound particularly hateful. But then, what would I know about hateful? Thought Silver spitefully. Leaning forwards until her silver tabby head leaned out of the grass and laying down so she could keep a watch, she knew they'd be able to see her; Muted was a little comfortable with them, at least. Comfortable... ha! Silver said silently. That's a joke to cat kind.

Keiogo heard a soft rustle from a bush and began to panicky. The tom became more worried when he took notice of a cat nearby who must've been watching them. Kia's fur bristled and a soft growl started in her chest as she eyed the strange she-cat warily.
Keiogo was considering running off, but he feared there may be more cats hiding somewhere. When the she-cat spoke his name, he was stunned. Who was this cat to know his name?
"How... How do you know my name?" He asked cautiously, his voice shaking. He was thin and weak, he could not fight this cat even if he wanted to and that caused him to feel fear... he couldn't protect Kia even if he had to.

Jaquar crept through the brush until he saw Silver. He walked up slowly towards her and layed beside her. He looked at ahead in the direction Silver was looking and cocked his head when he saw Muted talking to a pair of rogues. "Silver what is Muted doing? Does she know these cats?" he asked her quietly.

"I'm sure she does," The silver she-cat replied softly. She was still watching the two cats ahead of them. Usually she would have been sharper, but something she didn't ever feel aroused itself deep within her. The cats appeared weak, and though she could have crushed them, not only was Muted interested in them, that slight humming on the back of her mind seated itself firmly. That tiny buzz's word is called pity. But not much, and the Healer hissed inwardly and banished it. I'll bet he'd kill me if I attacked him, Silver thought. And that wouldn't do much good, now would it? She didn't want to interrupt Muted so she stayed silent.

She watched as the tom become very startled and scared when she said his name. Muted would have laughed, but instead she just grinned. "Those that were old enough, and who still remember would know who you are. After all, you do look just like your father." Muted stepped forward again, then noticed Kia, hearing her growl.
Ignoring the small ball of fur, Muted looked back at Keiogo. "But I don't expect you to know me, your mother wouldn't let you near the camp." She frowned, slight anger glinted in her eyes at the thought of the she-cat. "Although, I suppose it couldn't be helped, even though the leader at the time would have loved for you to be a part of the clan."
She then circled the two cats, not removing her gaze from the tom. "So, Keiogo, would you like to make your father spirit happy and finally join the clan you were ment to be a part of so many moons ago?" Muted stopped then shot a quick glance at Silver and Jaquar, her green eyes seemed to pierce through their hiding spot, returning to Keiogo wondering what his reaction to that would be.

Dusk walked over by Silver and Cougar and raised an eyebrow. Surely they couldn't think this spot was that good to hide in!? she thought. Slowly, she crept up behind them and sat. She listened to the conversation with Muted and two other cats....Rouges.....She was still unnoticed by the attentive Silver and Cougar. "So Keiogo, would you like to make your father's spirit happy and finally join the clan you were ment to be a part of so many moons ago?" These were the words that creeped to Dusk's ears.

Keiogo's mouth felt dry as the she-cat went on about his father and mother. Everything suddenly seemed to stop, the surroundings perfectly still and silent aside from the nameless cat circling around father and daughter.
The black tom's bright green eyes dulled, thoughts of his mother slipping from the depths of his mind. Distant cries and painful yowls called to him, fear and sadness ripping at his heart as the memories crept in. An image of a black and white tom similar to himself came to mind. He squeezed his eyes shut, hoping the thoughts would just go away.
"My father..." Keiogo began with a great deal of anger in his voice, but he soon wavered and spoke quietly, "... I didn't have a father." The tom lowered his head to look at his white forepaws sadly.
Keiogo sighed. A dreadful feeling was spreading through him. This cat, who appeared to be the leader of DarkClan, seemed she would get what she wanted whatever the case. The tom couldn't imagine joining the twisted group of Darkclan that he had tried to forget about for moons. He had honestly hoped they had all died off long ago... but that was obviously hopeful thinking. Oh, how he wished he could just run away with Kia and find her a place she'd be safe forever! The tom's black tail wrapped around his daughter in a loving manner and he remained silent, at a loss for words when the last question from the she-cat was asked. Join DarkClan to make his father's spirit happy...? He hadn't a clue how to respond to such a question...
Kia was still softly growling in defense, but she made no move to attack or even move. She remained by her father, intently listening to the strange cat and Keiogo. She hadn't a clue what they were discussing... her fur bristled with fear. She hadn't heard of this DarkClan before. She was so confused... from the corner of her eye, she noticed a small group of cats. What in the world was going on?

Muted almost glared at Keiogo when he said he, 'didn't have a father'. She could have bit his face off for saying that. Her tail lashed a few times before Muted got a hold of herself. "Such a sin how you talk of him that way. Wolf would always talk of you and your mother with me. I guess you could say we were friends." Muted stepped up to him, but not too close. "He died, calling out your names. I believe your mothers name was... Ambrosia?"
She stopped looking at Keiogo, and turned to Kia. "Is this your daughter?" If it was, Muted knew how to get him to stay, seeing as how protective he was of her.

Keiogo clenched his teeth. His father discussed his mother with these cats? And he called out their names at death? It made Keiogo want to vomit or laugh with disbelief. That horrid cat had killed his mother in an attempt to snatch Keiogo for DarkClan. His mother had put up a fuss about letting his father take him... and from what he knew, these DarkClan didn't let anyone get in the way of anything they wanted.
When the she-cat mentioned Kia, Keiogo's ears perked forward and his protective instinct kicked in. "Yes, this is my daughter." He said simply, eyeing the leader cautiously.
Kia narrowed her eyes. Wolf and Ambrosia? Those would be her fathers parents... it sounded like Keiogo had a darker history than she had thought. She glanced at her father. Why hadn't he told her anything about these cats?
