Graypatch chuckled. He understood Frosteye was aging and her memory was bad. "No, she's not a part of MountainClan. Yet." He added the last part with a twinkle in his pale green eyes. "We'll just have to see what Rainstar thinks."

Goldkit nodded fervently. Being near other Clan cats was great. It was lifting her mood quite a bit, and especially being around Snowpaw, a cat so similar in age to herself. How will Rainstar percieve me? A lost, stray cat? She wondered this while the others talked.

"I think Rainstar might accept her.We need all the cats we can get," Frosteye replied to Graypatch.

[Dragon]

Snowpaw looked around as if he wanted to leave right away. "We should go then. I should grab that vole for Alderfur," Snowpaw said as he jumped down to go where he hid the vole. He just wanted to get back to camp to see what Rainstar thought of Goldkit.

Crystalpool hated to be the one to bring everyone down, but it was fact. So she said what she had to say in a low and quiet tone. "But it also means another apprentice without a mentor." Crystalpool couldn't help but glance at Snowpaw.

Goldkit nodded again. Boy, I'm doing a lot of nodding, she thought hhumorously. "Yeah, Snowpaw, we should get going." She stood up and shook her pelt; a couple of snowflakes had landed and melted on it. It wasn't snowing at the moment but a couple of them had gotten big enough to fall. She followed Snowpaw, thinking about what Crystalpool had said. Why didn't Snowpaw have a mentor? And why wouldn't she? These thoughts echoed in her head.

Graypatch frowned. "I wish I could take on an apprentice. It would help the situation." He sighed and decided to not take it further. It was none of his business whether Rainstar wanted him to mentor a younger cat or not, so it certainly wasn't his concern why she chose not to.

Snowpaw froze at the statement from Crystalpool. He knew that it was the truth. "Maybe she will pick a mentor from both of us today. She knows that I have been mentorless for a moon," he said as he started heading down again.

"I could take on one more apprentice before I join the elders." Frosteye meowed.

But if also it was that they were in need of more cats that could hunt, she would be a burden. She strode proudly as she thought, I will help feed my new clan if I get to be a part of it. I won't be a burden, I'll make sure of it.}

Frosteye followed Goldkit.She could return back to camp,then come to hunt again.She could understand what Goldkit was feeling,although she was a clan-born cat.
