Conni's Arrival

Conni stood on the edge of the fence, staring into the woods. There were rumors of strange cats living in there, but she knew some of them couldn't true. She could remember living with her mother in the cold cage at the cat house. She had told Conni many things about the wildcats. They didn't really eat cats - did they? or sharpen their claws on the bones of enemies? She knew for a fact that, if they actually existed, they rarely came near the fence. Yet she was on it night after night, hoping to catch a glimpse of one.

[Lunar]

Reno walked up slowly behind the black, white, and yellow she-cat, rolling his eyes as he saw her concentration on the forest. 'Looking for DarkClan?' He wondered as he balanced easily on the fence. "What are you doing?" He asked, sitting down and giving his coat a few rough licks before looking back up at the she-cat.

Conni jumped and nearly fell off the fence. straightening herself, she looked up and saw that black cat that lived some nests down. She had never bothered to learn his name, for she doubted her had bothered to learn hers.
"DarkClan?" she asked him "is that what the wildcats call themselves?"

[Lunar]

"No, that is not what the clan that lives over there is called, that's MountainClan." Reno smiled as he looked out over towards the forest, is gold eyes glinting as he recalled the stories he had heard of them, and then remembering that more than half of the terrible stories some rouges and loners made about the clans of Seraphmoon were not true, Serval had proved that to him, though the tales of DarkClan we're always darker than those of the other clans. "But they won't come while your hanging over the fence and gaping where they could hide and you never see them Conni."

((actually, Conni lives closer to MountainClan))

Conni stared and Reno. "What do you know of them?" she asked. Before he could answer, she added "Someday, I'm going to go out there." She stared out at the forest again.

[Lunar]

"Only what other cats have told me." Reno sighed as he raised an eyebrow at the she-cat's comment about going out into the Clan's territory. "And what makes you think that? You have to be strong enough to survive in the first place, not to mention you have to learn how to climb properly to live anywhere on the mountain and that takes practice. Plus, most Clans are not going to like another cat walking onto their territory without out their permission, MountainClan is no exception." He stated in a much more serious attitude than he was used to, but he knew that the harshness of living outside better than most of the kittypets in the neighborhood, even he knew he would have to train hard to leave his home in Penbrook forever.

" that's why I haven't gone yet." she said "they're bound to come here sometime. andwhen they do, I'll be waiting." She looked at Reno. "And I can climb," she continued "i've gone to the top of the nest. I know living out there will be hard, but life her is just to..." she thought for a moment. "easy. "

Angel walked out into the yard and saw Conni and Reno talking on the fence. She jumped up to join them. "Talking about those clan cats again Reno?" she asked. Even though she had heard stories about the clans that lived in the forest and was curious to see how she'd fair out there, she was smart enough to know it'd take a lot of strength to even leave her nest.

[Lunar]

"Of course, they're more interesting than anything that goes on here." Reno grinned as Angel walked up. "But you are right Conni, life here is too easy, and I'll be happy the day I'm strong enough to even try to advance anywhere on clan territory." He smirked as he flicked his tail towards the trees. "Though you might want to try and go closer to see them, much less follow or meet them later."

"Those cats may be more interesting, but they're also more dangerous." Angel pointed out. "Life here may be easier than a life out there, and I too would like to try and venture out into their territory... but part of me is saying that I might regret leaving my nest. Have you two ever thought about what you might leave behind if you did leave this place?"

[Lunar]

Reno thought about this for a minute before looking back over at Angel. "I leave a pair of twolegs who don't even care whether or not I go, stale water, musty cat food....I'm thinking I'd much rather live out there than here." He smirked with a shrug.

[Maras to lazy to log in]

"I know I'd miss my twoleg if I left," Conni said "but she's having problems taking care of me lately. I think it might be better if I left, fro both of us." She paused, and then added as an afterthought, "And she's been feeding me twoleg food instead of the pellets for days now."

[Lunar]

"That bad?" Reno looked over at Conni, concern apparent on his face. "If you need any help, I can convince my twolegs to give you some food." He offered the she-cat before looking back over towards the forest, and an idea can to him. "What if we all left at the same time, and went together?" He suggested to the others, a glint of anticipation in his eyes.

"It's not bad, really. I don't like the pellets anyways." She pondered Reno's suggestion for a little bit. Finally, she said "I suppose it would be better then going alone."
