Tasting the air as she moved along swiftly and noiselessly, Glassheart came to a silent stop as she spotted a crow a few tail-lengths away from her. Dropping into a crouch, Glassheart moved with quick and silent steps, until she was close enough to the crow. The crow was still unaware of her presence and it turned in the other direction. Seizing this opportunity,Glassheart leaped forward towards the crow, which flapped its wings and attempted to escape. However,Glassheart was swifter and with a mighty leap, caught the crow in mid-air. As Glassheart landed on the ground, she buried the crow in the ground, and prepared to continue her hunt.

Shiningheart appeared next to Glassheart, dragging a rabbit that was twice the size of the little deputy. She was struggling a bito to bring the massive rodent next to Glassheart's cros. "Little help here!" The petite she-cat called through the rabbit's scruff.

Just as she was about to move on, Glassheart heard Shiningheart's call. Turning back, she bounded up to where Shiningheart was. Getting a hold on the rabbit,Glassheart was surprised at its enormous weight.Nodding her head to Shiningheart, she began to carry the rabbit over together with Shiningheart.

Shiningheart sighed in relief when she felt Glassheart take the majority of the weight from her. She stretched once the rabbit was safely covered in dirt and nodded gratefuly at the warrior. "Thanks. You have no idea how hard it was for me to catch that thing."

"I can imagine." Glassheart replied with a humorous tone,"That rabbit was huge!". She paused for a moment and asked Shiningheart "Shall we go hunting together?"

Shiningheart stopped stretching and nodded. "We'll get more prey that way. And we'll be able to protect each other if something is lurking out here." Her eyes darted from side to side, like she was waiting for something to appear next to them.

"Yes,that's true." Glassheart replied, although she hoped that nothing bad would happen. "Shall we go now?" she asked Shinigheart as she took a step forward.

Shiningheart nodded and led the way further down the craggy path, pausing to sniff at a bare bush with brittle branches. "Leafbare is coming." She murmured, shivering at a particularly cold wind.

"Yes, and we'll be having hard times when it comes. It's always hard to find prey in leaf-bare " Glassheart commented. Spotting a clump of thyme in a nearby bush, Glassheart bit off some of its leaves, and dropped it on the ground. "I think Lunarfall might like to have these." she meowed to Shiningheart.

Shiningheart nodded and stared at the leaves for a bit. "Put them with the fresh-kill." She meowed. "We can't let the wind carry it off."

Glassheart nodded as she padded towards the spot where she had buried her crow earlier on. She dug off some earth and placed the leaves there, following which she covered it back. Then, she bounded back to where Shiningheart was and meowed "Which way do you think we should go?", pointing to the numerous trees in the surroundings that led to different directions.

Shiningheart closed her eyes and swiveled her ears in every direction. She pushed out the howling winds and concentrated on the many pulses of many tiny hearts. She opened her eyes and pointed her muzzle upwind. "That way." She said. "There's more prey in this direction."

Nodding in reply, Glassheart padded forward in the direction that Shiningheart had indicated. Scenting a mouse fox-lengths away, she stepped forward softly, careful not to step on dried leaves in case it scared the prey away.

Shiningheart watched her go before her eye twitched in annoyance. She turned her back on Glassheart, staring at a outcrop of rocks. "Come out Blizzardshard!"
The large white-and-gray tom came out of the rocks, his expression sheepish. "Heh heh," he chuckled nervously, "hiya Shiningheart!" He flinched at the deputy's harsh glare.
"Don't 'hiya Shiningheart' me!" She growled. "How long have you been following me?"
Blizzardshard shuffled his paws in the earth. "Since you caught that rabbit."

Glassheart turned her attention from the mouse to Blizzardshard as he came out from his hiding place. She was a little surprised, as she had not detected Blizzardshard before. She watched as Shiningheart growled at Blizzardshard, and thought to herself "Serves him right for trying to tail us."
