Skyheart entered the lush forest happy to be away from camp. She had her sharea of awkward moments, but oddly it was all right. She felt at peace and at home when she was in the forest. It felt right. When in camp, she was always restless and tired. She tried to stifle a yawn out here, but nothing would come. The crisp morning air was enough to wake any cat out of the deepest sleep.

"Good morning, Skyheart!" Ringtail dug his claws into the bark of the narrow branch he was precariously balanced on. Leaning forward, he hung almost upside down above the tabby she-cat. "Did you sleep well?" He grinned teasingly.[/color]

Skyheart purred. "Yah, like I sleep at all in camp." She padded over to Ringtail. "You know those kits! It was pretty mouse-brained to stick the warriors' den by the nursery, but then again, who else would want to sleep next to irritating kits?" She mrowwed with laughter and her eyes glittered with amusement. "But, enough about me, how was your night?"

Ringtail shrugged. "Meh. I've had better -- WOAH!" Somewhere nearby, a startled bird took flight, screaming loudly. Ringtail jumped involuntarily and at the same time lost his balance on the narrow branch. He plummeted, landing with an abrupt thud!, unhurt but awkward with his rump in the air.[/size]

Ringtail's rueful expression quickly changed to a look of shocked disbelief. "Are you serious?!" he cried incredulously, springing to his paws. He quickly saw that she was. "That has GOT to change," he said with a snort and a determined lash of his long tail. "Come on, Skyheart. You're about to get a lesson in bird hunting." He whirled and bounded away, beckoning impatiently with his head.[/color]

Skyheart rolled her eyes. ''All right, captain.'' She followed the obviously annoyed Ringtail and purred. ''What and how are you going to teach me? It's hard to teach a cat new tricks.'' She purred in laughter while watching Ringtail attentively.
