So here it starts.
The beginning of the most feared story.
The beginning of evil.
The darkness is what it was, and the darkness is what it is and always will be.
These souls are tainted, and tainted they will stay.
Their minds clouded with evil thoughts.
Rage and hate seem like the only welcome emotion.
These are the traits of the first DarkClan cats.... and maybe, it still runs through clan blood.

The breathing of the cat was rushed, and shallow. The cold air sliced through their lungs with pain with each gasping breath. Their eyes were clouded with pain, and fear.
This cat was lying under some reeds, under a tree, somewhat protected and sheltered from the snow and cold. But it did not help much, for this cat was injured badly. Fur matted with blood, and chunks of fur were missing from their elaborate gray striped pelt.
This cat was named Ocean, for her eyes were as clear and as beautiful as the water in which she was named after. Her fur was silver, but in the moonlight it shone like like blue water. But now, her fur was dirty, and her eyes did not look like the ocean. Her view of the world seemed a lot crueler and unkind. As well with her family.
Before this all happened, Ocean lived with her family, which traveled all around. Stayed where they wished or could, she even made a few friends along they way. She assumed too much, and expected nothing. Only when they came upon Twoleg territory did things start to change.
Ocean bounded across a snow covered field, her three brothers, Oak, Jasper and Fang ran beside her. They ran as if nothing else in the world mattered. The sun was at its highest, and the tree line was just ahead of them. Her mother and father, Willow and Razor where waiting for them there.
She ran toward them, but her brothers did not. They stopped in their tracks and just stared at them. Ocean stopped beside her mother, and looked back at her brothers; confused. Suddenly, Jasper, Oak and Fang walked a loop around them, and walked along the tree line.
Ocean didn't know what to think, the only thing she could do was stare. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed more cats heading toward them. They stank like rotting flesh and rotten food. Their fur was matted and dirty and they looked strong, so strong that their muscles flexed with each motion. Ocean began to grow scared.
"What is this? Jasper? Oak? Fang? What is the meaning of this! I demand and answer!" It was her father who spoke up at her kin, authority clear in his voice. But none spoke up. Razor growled and asked again. "Why are you not speaking up? Tell me now!" Someone parted from the small band of strangers and walked up to her father.
"We are here to collect your sons, and daughter. Your sons have already agreed to their joining." He smirked, scars covered his body. He seemed to be the leader of this group.
Razor hissed at him. "You are never going to take my children!" This resulted in this stranger to hit him in the face. The blow was so hard, that Razor flew and landed on the ground. He didn't move. Ocean wailed with fear, and Willow raced over to her mates body. Fury rippled through her as she lunged at his attacker.
Ocean could only sit and watch in fear as her mother was killed and thrown aside like a rag doll. She stared at her brothers, wide-eyed. They didn't move, they didn't even flinch when she died, they didn't even try to save her. What had they gotten into? What made them turn so.... hateful? The stranger walked over to her, and she backed away, huddling like a trapped mouse. "You are mine now, and you will join us like your brothers have." Ocean didn't know what to do, or say. She didn't want to end up like her parents. The only thing she could do was follow them.... but she didn't.
"N-no. I will not go with you. I-I would rather d-die." It was obvious she was scared, her words stuttered. But the expression the cat made could have killed her just then.
He glared, hard. "Fine. Then you will die." He turned to her brothers. "By your kins claws. If you are to join, you WILL kill your sister." She could have wept, would they really do it? Only when they stepped forward, claws out, did she realize she was going to die. They came at her, ripping fur, scratching and biting whenever they could. Ocean screeched with pain and agony. She tried clawing back, she was going to put up a fight. Jasper stumbled backward, a large gash on his leg showed she managed to get someone. This gave her the chance to get away. With one inured, only two would come after her. So she clawed more, and ran.
Ocean had no idea how long she ran, or how hard. Tears streamed down her fur, almost crystallizing against the cold. Her lungs hurt and her muscles burned. Not even looking to see if she was still being chased, Ocean collapsed under a bush.
And still she lays, exhausted, but to afraid to sleep. I must get moving, get somewhere warm. So tired She struggled to get up, legs pulsing with pain. Walking despite the pain, Ocean found a building, a hole had been made on the side of it, not caring who was inside she walked in. It was warm, and the smell of food made her hungry. Then the smell of another cat made Ocean reek of fear scent, but it wasn't what she was expecting.
The sweet voice of a she-cat called out to her, the calming voice made Ocean relax a little, but she was still terrified. "My word! Your such a mess! Please come with me, I can help you with you cuts and get some food into you before you die on me." The ginger and white long haired she-cat lead her to a soft bed and made Ocean lie down. Quickly, she grabbed a mouse and set it in front of Ocean "I'll be right back, but please try and eat this." As she left, Ocean looked at the mouse. Her stomach growled, and she licked her lips. Without much hesitation, she ate the mouse quickly.
By the time the she-cat came back, the mouse was gone. She held many leaves and other things in her mouth, and something was wrapped around her front paw. "Now, hold still while I stop this bleeding." Ocean didn't even flinch whenever the she-cat, she only stared at the flooring, thinking on what just happened to her. The ginger cat had finished mending her wounds and sat in front of Ocean, with a worried look on her face. "May I ask what happened?"
Ocean looked up, her face was unreadable. "I watched my parents get killed.... and then my three brothers tried to kill me..." She didn't say anymore, she didn't want to talk about it, or remember about it. The she-cat gasped, she obviously had never heard of such a thing.
"I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say to make you feel better, but I am here if you want to talk about it." She began to walk off when she turned her head. "My name's Flossie by the way." She flicked her tail and walked off.
"Mine's Ocean." She spoke before the ginger cat was out of sight. For now, the only thing Ocean could do now was sleep. Which is what she did.

Once Ocean had arrived at the barn, she made friends with Flossie. It was hard for her to trust any cat again, especially after what she had went through, but Ocean found that Flossie was easy to become friends with anyways. A few moons had went by and the weather had become warm. Ocean and Flossie happily stayed at the barn without a fuss, until a few other travel worn, injured cats arrived.
Three cats, two toms and a very pregnant she-cat had showed up at their barn. Flossie, like always greeted them inside happily, and had told Ocean to show them to the best sleeping areas. Ocean did, but with much distaste. The presence of strangers made Ocean very uneasy, and almost openly glared at them. Only when Flossie stepped in with many herbs that Ocean calmed down a little.
The older tom had stepped forward and spoke with Flossie. "We thank you so much for letting us stay here, my daughter, Abby will be soon having her kits and this place will help her a lot. I don't know how I'll ever repay you." The grey tom bowed his head, and Flossie just smiled.
"I could never let her stay outside which such things that could harm kits, it's my pleasure, really!" The ginger she-cat smiled and walked over to the brown tabby she-cat to see if she was healthy enough. Ocean stayed a distance away, she didn't want to socialize with them. She would rather just watch them, intently, with eyes searing their fur. Ocean wanted to be sure that they weren't here to harm her.
Flossie noticed her unease, and walked over. Her brown eyes seemed to notice anything even if Ocean tried her hardest to hide her emotions. "I can see whats troubling you Ocean. And I assure you, they are just travelers and don't have the slightest idea who you are or if they want to hurt you." She frowned, it wasn't for her to be saddened by something. "You're going to have to get over this fear sometime, or else your going to die young from worry and stress. It's not good for you." There was definitely sadness in her voice, the sadness of loosing a friend.
Ocean watched her walk away, then looked down at her paws. Flossie was right. She would die a lonely cat if she didn't let go of the past, but it hurt too much to let go; now anyways. Her blue eyes stared at the three cats, but didn't go near them.

It had been a moon, Abby had had her kits, all four of them very healthy. Her mate, Garrow was just as happy as she was. But still, Ocean did not go near. She mostly spent all her time looking for herbs for Flossie, or hunting.
Over the time she had spent here, she had marked out her territory, even though it had only been the two of them. The large Thunderpaths had run the whole way around the forest, that is what made her borders, and not once did any strange cats enter. Only till now did a small band of five cats enter. This obviously made Ocean's hairs stand on end and made her sick to her stomach. She had to tell the others.
She ran back to the barn, not even looking back to see how far behind the other cats were. Ocean was almost gasping for breath by the time she found them. "Strange cats are in the forest, and their heading right for the barn. I need some help if they plan on attacking." Abby started to look worried, and Garrow would have flew out of the barn to help protect Abby. The she-cats father also looked determined to protect, and the both agreed to come with.
Flossie walked up to Ocean, and licked her ear. "Please come back safe, I don't know what I'd do without you." She turned back without an answer, and helped Abby clam down with reassurance. Ocean looked at the toms, they were all determined to defend with at least some honour.
They made it close to the spot where Ocean had first seen the strangers. They had hardly moved and the obviously had caught some prey as there were some bones left on the ground. Ocean always buried the bones of her prey, it always seemed natural. Garrow glared at the strangers, and scratched his claws on the ground, but the older tom was calm, showing no emotion. Only his eyes seemed readable. "So, Ocean. What do you suggest we do?" The older tom looked at her, as if she knew the answer.
Ocean stared back, not really having a clue what she should do next. She opened her mouth, but thinking came out, and it gave away that she didn't know what they should do. Garrow looked at her, worried. Her blue eyes turned back to the fives cats, they looked dirty, and tired and very thin. They hardly looked like they could do any harm. "We'll confront them, ask them why their here. And we'll drive them out if we have to." The other two nodded, and the stepped forward softly, trying not to make a sound.
One of the cats heard them, and told the others to be quiet, which set off a cloud of fear scent around them that Ocean and the others could easily smell. Which was the time that they showed themselves. The strangers then stood in a deformed defensive position, which seemed to be lead by a large dark brown tabby she-cat with small white face marks. Ocean calmly stepped forward. "Why are you here in my territory?"
The leading she-cat growled slightly, then flicked her tail to signal the others to stop. The she-cat spoke back, her voice was ragged but calm. "We are very tired, and starving. We've been running from a band of large cats for days now and this place looked go to hide in. These cats have killed most of my band, and demanded we join them... but we didn't want to. We were the only ones that escaped them..." Her calmness seemed to melt away and she turned to agony at the thought of fallen comrades. It reminded Ocean of her ordeal, and how they wanted her to join them like her brother had.
"Tell me, what is your name?" Ocean spoke, with a slight bit of friendliness. The she-cat looked up, surprised that she would be so nice about this.
"My name is Serpent, my friends are Frost, Hazel, Hawk, and my little brother Talon. But my brother is very sick and weak, I fear that he wont.. make it much longer." Her eyes seemed to weep, but Serpent kept her composer. Ocean felt sympathy for them, and the need to help felt great.
"It's okay Serpent, my friend Flossie is really good with herbs and I'm sure she can help your brother." The she-cat brightened up a lot, and went over to her brother and whispered something in his ears, and he too brightened up even though he looked very ill. "I'll take you back to where we stay. Garrow could you help Talon get to camp?" The tom nodded and stood on the other side of Talon as his sister the other.
