Greypatch had left the camp to be alone for another one of his walks, but this time he went more inland than towards the ocean. The sun was yet still in the sky as he padded close to the border of Four Rocks where the Clans had meet only some nights ago. Before all the kitten stealing mess had started. He was getting old, but at least his senses were still just as sharp as they were during his warrior days. He scented a familiar scent, but he couldn’t place his mind on it. He followed it in hopes of finding the cat who owned it.
Scar roamed about, not knowing where she was heading. In truth, she had no real place to go now that she left DarkClan. It had been her home for so long, but they had followed StarClan, even if in secret, it disgusted her. Of course she wouldn’t ask one of the Clans to let her join them, and being a kittypet was an insult to her pride. A scent had hit the roof of her mouth as she recognized the scent of the OceanClan markers. Had she really traveled that far already since leaving the twolegplace? And why did she come here, was the more of the question to herself.

Greypatch soon came across a small clearing near the edge of the territory and didn't realize he came this far. It was there he saw the scared black pelt of his sister padded towards him, without realizing she was doing it. It was clear she was in deep thought. "Scar!" he exclaimed.
Scar jerked out of her thoughts as she heard the voice of her brother. "Greypatch... I didn't realize... I should be going..." he said as she turned to walk away. Greypatch came up beside her.
"Don't leave sister. I can understand what you did, but it seems it is over now by the way you're acting," he replied.
"Yes, the kittens are returning home. Muted is no longer the leader of DarkClan and I left because I found out they to also follow StarClan," she said in a calm tone.
"Is it so wrong to follow what you believe? You know StarClan is real, yet you shun them for a mistake they couldn't control?" he asked.
"I..." Scar lost her voice. Her anger has been there for so long she had forgotten the one lesson she was taught as a kit. StarClan can't control events.

Greypatch looked at his sister and shook his head. "You still look to them don't you. Even if you claim you don't," he said.
"I do not! I... I... still can't forgive them," Scar said as she turned to leave before the patrols came. "You are going to be miss. Go back to your Clan Greypatch! My life no longer concerns you!"
Greypatch gave her a glare and pounced on the old she-cat. Despite his age he was still able to pin her to the ground. "For moons I thought you were dead and this is how you treat me? No wonder you left DarkClan. They must be nice compare to you!" he snapped at her with a wheezing breath. "And what of Muted? Weren't you going to get rid of her?"
Scar let her brother stay on top of her as she felt the tears of the pain in her heart. She didn't want to leave her Clan, but she thought that she must. "Muted had renounce her leadership on DarkClan herself. In the end she was nothing like Blackstar. Maybe I can die now since I'm too old to live as a rouge. It would be a great death," she said. "And leave those who would morun your death without even knowing the real you?" Greypatch hissed at her. "If you want I can your life here and now and save the trouble for the patroal in killing you."
Scar pushed the old tom off her body and stood on the ground. Her eyes did not look into his. "This is the real me. I am no longer Hawkpaw nor will I ever be again. I am Scar, surviving elder of DarkClan and now rouge by her choice alone. No one will care for me when I am dead," she hissed back at Greypatch.
"I think you are lying to yourself! You left someone who cared didn't you?" Greypatch said with a weezing cough. His sister was stubborn, but her could see the pain in her eyes. "Go back to DarkClan. If what you said is true then they will need a guide even if you are not going to be leader."
Scar frozed as she remembered the last look Silver gave her. It sent a shiver down her spine and made her drop to the ground. Guilt washed though her even more on how she had blamed StarClan for something they couldn't control. "I... I... Well I guess Silver misses me a lot. She did look up to me," Scar said.
"Then return to her. Meanwhile, I have to get back to camp before they miss me," Greypatch said as he ran off towards where the OceanClan camp resided.
Scar laid there for a few more moments and cleared her head. Greypatch had made her see sense, but the thought of forgiving StarClan was still bile in her thoat. Even if she knew it had to be done. She turned and headed out of the territory and went padded back to her home she knew so well. "I guess I can't leave them afterall," she mused to herself.
