As Jadestar withdrew from the Highrock, stepping down the stones, she heard Leafsong. She turned and said, "Yes, you may. But be very careful. We need our medicine cat." She chuckled in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Blackpaw walked up to Tigereye and sat calmly by the deputy. "So who else are you going to choose to go with us?' he asked him.

Jadestar's lip curled at the rising sun, now visible in the sky. She sighed. "It is time to leave; we have no time to wait for everyone." She trotted over to the entrance to camp. "Those who have been chosen, please come now! We have no time to waste!" Treading soil in her paws, Jadestar was anxious to set out as soon as possible.

Leafsong immediately followed Jadestar.She knew that they had to act fast,before the enemy escaped with the clan kits.

Tigereye looked to Blackpaw somberly, "Anyone who is ready to run and fight with all their heart." He said simply, his eyes bright in the dim morning light. The sun was just beginning to rise and he stared off in the distance. There would be no time to greet the sun this morning. It was time to go.
Tigereye nodded to Blackpaw before falling in beside Jadestar. "Those who are ready are ready. Those who are not will be staying behind to guard camp. We should leave now; the others will follow us." The deputy looked to Midnight after he said this. He was not well aquainted with Midnight and he didn't like the looks of the tom, but he was thankful for his presence nonetheless. If he could aid them in retrieving the lost kit, even Tigereye would thank him at the end of this. [/size] |

"It is time," Jadestar agreed. She glanced at Midnight. "Lead the way." The jet tom nodded and set off at a reasonable pace in the direction of Four Rocks. Jadestar would have been reluctant to follow the leadership of someone else under any other circumstance but nobody else knew where the dark Clan was. "We are coming!" She yowled.

Dawnstorm felt a pang of agony when she heard when she wasn't to go get her kit back. Then anger came after that, Jadestar should have said her name. I'm going, whether they want me to or not. She growled under her breath as she walked behind the nursery and slipped out of camp through a hole in the moss. I'll follow them from afar, and kill all in my way.
Marblekit watched her mother, worried. Then when Dawnstorm's mood chaged from empty to angry, she began to worry even more. She was about to say something when she saw the look in Dawnstorm that ment determination, and fury. Marblekit knew she was going to do something bad. Watching her mother walk away, Marblekit ran over to One-ear. "I think momma is... going to do something bad... she just ran off." [/size] |

"Your mother is a determined she-cat. I don't think anyone would want to get in the way of her right now." her voice held a pang of sympathy for the queen, but she knew she couldn't do anything to stop her. "Let's just hope," she paused," let's just hope she won't do anything she'll regret." she looked down at Marblekit and and looked at the kit with caring eyes that did not betray the sign of how worried she was. She knew that Dawnstorm would do just about anything to kit her kit back. But how far will she go for that and how many will she hurt to accomplish this? the thought loomed over One-ear like a dark cloud. StarClan help us.

Roughpaw jumped up as some of his clan trooped out of the camp
he hollered to them, "Can I come? Just in case anything real bad happens?" his round eyes shone like marbles at the thought of healing his clan. he waited eagerly for a reply, but he thought the leader would not really let him go on such a trip, but it was worth a shot because whitepaw was going too.
