Returning to the Camp

Snowpaw climbed up the last rock to get to the camp. He hadn't stopped running since he left the clearing. He only hope the Clan was still there wondering what to do next. He jumped down from another ledge and entered the clearing. "Rainstar! I know who took the kits!" he shouted as he ran right into the middle of the clearing. "DarkClan!"

Lunar ran up beside him for a moment then ran over to Brighteyes. "Brighteyes have you seen Goldpaw?" she quickly questioned the medicine cat. She looked more closely at Brighteyes, confused at her confused look. "Brighteyes, are you ok?"

_{Goldpaw had just followed the patrol out of camp when she heard the cats run into camp. Glancing at her patrolmates, she dashed back up to the clearing. Skidding to a halt, she said, "What's going on?" She glanced embarassedly backwards at her comrades.}

Brighteyes blinked, startled out of her thoughts by Lunar. She looked to the cat, "Oh, yes I'm fine..." She asked, trailing off. She was a bit confused at the question.

"Goldpaw?" She asked. She hadn't paid attention to where the she-cat had gone, but then she noticed the apprentice heading up behind Lunar. "Oh, there she is." Brighteyes flicked her long-haired tail to indicates the cat was coming. What did Lunar want with Goldpaw?

"Ok, because you seemed a bit distant. Thanks Brighteyes." Lunar turned her attention to Goldpaw for and ran towards the apprentice. "We had a bit of trouble." was all Lunar let out. "Come on me and Snowpaw will tell you what happened." she gestured Goldpaw to follow her towards Snowpaw.

"We have to hurry. We need more warriors if we are to attack DarkClan," Snowpaw said. He spotted Goldpaw and felt his fur twitch at the site of her. He felt all hot again.

_{The gold apprentice nodded and followed Lunar. She sat down near Snowpaw, whiskers twitching in anticipation. "What happened? All I remember hearing was that two kits were stolen, I was just out with a patrol when you two arrived. And what about attacking... DarkClan?" Her eyes grew somber as she recognized the name. Oblivious to Snowpaw's fur, she struggled in thought.}

Rainstar stared at Goldpaw for a long moment. "I am sorry to hear that, Goldpaw." She said quietly. However, no more words came from the leader, who came off as cold and unfeeling. But, inside, she felt sorry and angry that Goldpaw had had to go through all that at such a young age. 'Starclan knows best...' She thought, but she still looked at Goldpaw, even as she turned and walked over to Scarface.

She was shaken out of her trance as Brighteyes murmered something next to her. "Huh? What do you...?" She was forming the next word when Snowpaw came rushing into the camp. Her eyes widened as she made out his words. "Darkclan... Oh no!"

What was a Leader to do?

Frosteye stopped in her tracks,and turned round."I think we should go to DarkClan now,if anyone knows where it is." she said.

[Dragon]

"There are three DarkClan cats helping us to get them. We just need to meet up with the other Clans at Four Rocks," Snowpaw said. "Midnight is there as well."

[Bluestar]

Frosteye stared her apprentice,and demanded "How do you know about them?"

[Dragon]

Snowpaw flinched at his mentor's glaze but looked at her in return. "Because I thought one of the cats was being attacked by one of the DarkClan cats and attacked him, but it turned out there is an even bigger plan than I imagine. The other two came later after I found out about Midnight and Jaquar and what they plan to do to save the kits," he said admitting that he didn't follow the Clan back to the camp like he was suppose to.

"And you believed them?" Frosteye asked.She wasn't sure that the two other cats would actually help.

[Lunar]

"Why shouldn't we?" she stepped forward in Snowpaw's defense,"Besides Jaquar is my brother, he wouldn't openly lie like that, especially if it was this serious!" She looked up at the warrior somewhat defiantly. "I trust them." she said each word slow and hard to make sure her point got through.
