Keiogo sighed quietly. Calmly, he examined the territory and curled his long-haired tail around himself. Ever since Muted had brought him here, he wasn't sure what to do. All the DarkClan cats seemed to be busy with some plan that Keiogo chose to stay out of. He had no interest in the dark business of these cats... even though he was a part of them. The tom would just stand back and watch the world go by forever if he had to, just to keep Kia and himself safe from the rest of the DarkClan cats. He would never truly be a part of these cats, but he had to work with them to some degree.
Keiogo looked to his daughter. She had been quiet ever since they had come here, never speaking more than two words at once. That was unusual for her; she usually spoke to him often. But Kia was more than likely upset, and why wouldn't she be? She wasn't use to strange cats and now she was forced to stay here in this 'Clan.'
Keiogo felt horrible but there was literally nothing he could do. He was not foolish enough to attempt to flee... he knew much better than that. He'd be better off telling Muted and the others to kill Kia and himself right then and there rather than run off in hopes they'd never catch or find them. He didn't know everything about the ways of DarkClan, but he knew enough to know it was much safer to stick around and just try to stay out of everyone's way. Someday... maybe something would happen to make it better...
Gentlewhisper, Keiogo thought suddenly, I hope you are well...

As night went on, the calico she-cat lay there, staring into the darkness. What would happen if Silver...? She had raised the silver healer since she was a kit, and had trained her to fight as well as heal. Mariah had always been there to comfort Silver, help her, she'd always been there for her, which was extremely unnatural for a cat from DarkClan. But she knew what happened when kits were left to die... the did, or worse, they were forced to the same fate Mariah herself was. She shivered, still worrying about her surrogate daughter. Jumping down from the rafters, she trotted out into the territory.
Quickly spotting Keiogo, she almost hurled a barbed comment, but stopped herself. He was obviously in deep sorrow, as was his daughter. She, having raised Silver whose emotions were difficult to read, knew what to look for. Trotting over to the two, she sat down nearby. "I... don't know what else to do but say I'm sorry you were dragged into this life. For what a life is it but to serve Muted unquestioningly? Surely not a life chosen intentionally. I'm sorry you were pulled into this strife. My name's Mariah." She wasn't sure what else to say, but curled her tail around herself and gazed at the moonlight, shining down in a bleached torrent. It was full, and she knew enough about other Clans to know that they met together on this night.

Keiogo was silent. He wasn't sure who this cat was, but she obviously was a DarkClan cat. She sounded nice enough but that didn't make the tom any less wary. He couldn't trust any of these cats...
"Thank you... I guess." Keiogo said quietly. He was at a loss for words.
Kia, upon seeing the she-cat approach her father, softly growled in dislike and slipped off without Keiogo even noticing. She slunk into some foliage and curled up within the leafy envelopment. Kia hated being here in this land around all these strange cats...

Mariah twitched her ears towards Kia when the younger she-cat trotted away. She twitched her tail in frustration but did nothing else. "You're welcome. I know it must be weird for you. But you'll get used to it eventually." She sighed. Turning to where Kia had disappeared, she snapped after her, "Well, blame a cat for being friendly. Your mistake." Her typical mood was beinning again; she was somewhat frustrated that Muted hadn't chosen her to go on the raid, and she needed some action, but knew Muted couldn't choose everyone. Trotting back into the barn, she leapt into the rafters and curled up, trying to sleep again. She was still anxious about Silver. I shouldn't be, that's wrong of me, she thought, scolding herself. She can take care of herself. Her thoughts again wandered to Midnight and Silvermoon. Oh, where are you two?

Keiogo listened to the she-cat but said nothing and silently watched her trot off. He frowned slightly and turned to see Kia slowly slink out from the bushes. His daughter held a grumpy frown and a hostile glare. What could he do with her to make her happier? Kia shot him a breif, unhappy stare then returned to resting on a rock, her white back facing him.
Keiogo sighed and rose his head to look to the skies. There was nothing he could do to help Kia and he might as well face it now. Green eyes closed, he inhaled the smells around him to try and find comfort ; he found nothing but strange, unfamiliar smells... he longed for the smells around the mountains, but those were old smells, old times... Nothing he could go back to. But he had to worry about now, and now he was responsible for making Kia happy. But there wasn't anyway...
Keiogo looked off to where the she-cat had taken off to. As strange as it seemed, the tom felt the cat had truly been sympathizing with him. Perhaps she had had similar problems before?
