Hunting.

Another one of those hards showers of snow fell, and fell fast. Covering everything it touched in a thin blanket of white. Just as unexpectedly as it started, it ended, leaving some abrupt space left unfilled. THe sound of snow falling with a thick 'plop' rang into the empty void. A crack of gray was mixed in within the white. He had grown significantly since his sister had left.
All of his kit soft fur had up and gone, in replacement, thick fur that would help him through leaf-bare. Which in this case, is an excellent thing. Current had also grown. He had grown, about, 3 inches in height, leaving him to look like any normal warrior. Though some of his baby fat still clung to him, his body was mostly lean and ready for action.
Current's body sat low to the ground, crouching. Though to the naked human eye, there was nothing to really be stalking. A slight twitch, straight ahead of him, signaled the presence of another animal. A mole. This mole was very old, and for some unknown reason, it strayed from it's hole and went to die. Current didn't care. There was a shortage of prey and anything that would do as food, would work. The blind animal layed to it's side, death was long away, but it was ready.
In a blinding flash of gray fur, Current lept upon the animal, killing it swiftly as not to drag out the agonizing part. Holding the scrawny animal triumphantly in his paws, Current buried it in the snow and began to sniff around for more.

"You're improving, I see." A dark tabby tom appeared, seeming to have melted right out of the surrounding foliage. His midnight-green eyes locked onto Current. "Most cats would have ignored that old mole. You sought it out. Promisng." Thorn looked away for a moment, into the trees, then back at Current.

[Lunar]

A lean creature paced in a tree, stalking, near brooding with utter contempt as she watched from a safe distance. Her unaturally lean but elagant body seemed to tense and release, her striped pelt quivering under the stretchy muscle. She seemed to feel nothing but everything as she watched Current with hidden eyes. 'Why...' The short thought not even a question, but perhaps an answer she was yet to figure out. Her forever blue eyes, seemingly flecked with green seemed to plan what to do next, whether to wait to be found or to walk up and speak.

'Neither one will do or fit the purpose I need.' She silently sneered as herself. Her pelt, no matter how well groomed or elegant it looked to a passerby's eye, was riddled with numerous scars. The soft warm smell of being a kit was gone, and despite her trials to make sure it didn't happen, the smell of DarkClan had faded as well. She seemed to know, that even if she walked up, no one would know who she was anymore. 'Maybe that's for the best.' She thought as a shiver rippled up her spine. She looked up again, unknowingly feeling some warmth in her heart, where it had slithered much too deep. Then, she climbed down and walked over slowly.

Current was surprised by the sudden appearence of Thorn. He dipped his head respectfully aknoledging the praise. "Thank you Thorn." His gaze quickly flashed into defense as his hackles shot up threateningly. Current's eyelids squinted as a new body entered the crackeling snow field. She had a sense of comfort to her, yet seemed so out of place. Current had to double take on the she-cat's body. Her coat seemed so familiar to him, yet not. Only when he peered into her eyes did his breath escape his body in a giant gust of exhalation.

"S-S-Serval?" Current stuttered, believing he was having another one of those dreams. The dream where he saw his sister, calling out to him, though nothing could have prepared him for this. She seemed so far away, yet...he couldn't believe he was actually seeing her. With a quick head shake, Current released his anxieties as his green eyes filled with happiness and he rushed forward to meet her. Obviously, Current wasn't thinking if she had recognized him or not, he could take whatever she dished out. A low chuckle emitted from his throat. 'I always could.'

[Sable]

An expression of mild surprise flickered over Thorn's face as he watched Serval appear. He had not recognized the sleek and beautiful she-cat until Current uttered her name. His whiskers twitched in amusement. "Nice of you to join us, Serval." His meow was deep as always, but something close to laughter hid there.

[Lunar]

Serval paused at Current's sudden approach, something tearing inside of her like a feral disease. Something told her to greet him warmly and forget what had happened previously, then there was something that ground faintly of guilt and fear, telling her to run. Her body shook back and forth unsteadily, her mind sinking lower, the voices faint in her ears.

Current did a little back step after seeing Serval's not so composed reaction to his eagerness. "Serval?....," His voice was calming and slightly hesitant "it's me, Current. Your brother." He gave a quick rasp to her ear and backed up in one motion, still slightly cautious of her reaction. Without her seeing, he shot a horror stricken look to Thorn. Was his sister okay? Should he get the healer to look at her? Current angled his body slightly, ready to run if needed.

Seravl dug her claws into the ground, her body steading itself as she slowly closed her eyes. Her breathing came out to even, a slight smile coming across her face as she relaxed, a strange buzz running across her body. "Don't tell mom." She breathed out slowly as her legs crumpled beneath her.

[Sable]

Thorn quickly stepped forward and slid his shoulder under Serval before she could fall, supporting most of her weight. "Serval? Are you alright?" He waited for a reply from the mottled she-cat as he glanced at her brother.

[Lunar]

Serval somewhat stuttered out a chuckle. "No." She somewhat hated to admit that fact, though she knew it to be true.

[Sable]

Sighing, Thorn none too gently pulled Serval to her feet by the scruff, though she still leaned on his shoulder. "Current, go back to the camp and find Silver," he ordered the young tom.

[Lunar]

Serval's eyes shot open, her body stiffened as she pulled herself away from Thorn, her body still teetering. "She'll rip me to shreds if she finds out." She breathed out, the image of Stone burned fiercely in her mind.

Current, torn between listening to his leader and his sister, stood stock still. THough he managed to wince as though he had been raked across the flank when he heard Serval's words. 'Stone had torn you painfully from her mind for so long, I doubt she'd ever remember you even now Current thought bitterly as answer to Serval's word. His coat ruffled in the freezing wind, though his body -to numb with adrenaline- didn't respond. It was the first time he every really looked Serval's body over. She did not look well, and she needed Silver's treatment as soon as possible. He had to trust Thorn to not let her go.

"I'll get Silver sister, I won't alert Stone to your presence." His voice surprised even him, being as calm as it sounded. With a quick look to Thorn and he was gone. Running as fast as his legs would claim, extending them out to full length. 'Calm yourself Current, don't let Stone know.

[Lunar]

"Current, Wait!" Serval cried out after him futilely. Her legs were somewhat splayed out, her head hung low, but she thanked StarClan that she could balance, even if it was just barely. She took in deep breaths, her eyes closing but body stayed steady. "I shouldn't have come." She spoke gently, her body swaying peaceful, not in threat of falling over.

"Then why in the world did you?" Thorn spoke bluntly, his dark green eyes exasperated. "I've got enough on my paws dealing with your mother without you suddenly popping up and turning leaf-legged at the sight of your brother!"
