Raw Emotions.

Inhaling deeply and holding his breath-as he usually did when he tried to run really fast-he bolted forward, running parallel to Mistpelt. "Happy?" His voice was muffled by the gust of air that escaped his lungs when he said it. Deathclaw could at least keep pace with the warrior she-cat now, though he couldn't beat her in a race, that's for sure.

"Are you ready to slow down? Or are we going to run into the ocean before you stop?" Deathclaw glanced pointedly at the looming waters that were speedily coming closer. His white pelt was short, so it was made for swimming, but he did not enjoy the thought of diving into freezing temperature water.

[Mistpelt]

"Oh, fine...." she said, her whiskers twitched with amusment. "Are we going for the fish first?" she asked, her eyes twinkling with joy. She always loved hunting and being by the water.

Deathclaw's nose crinkled as he chuckled at the tabby. "I'm sorry to ruin your fun. By all means, jump in! Though I don't know if I'd help lick you dry." Deathclaw joked with a smile. He was a little hesitant, would she actually jump in? He chuckled again as he slowed even more to a suddel walk/trot. "Sure we can, if we catch enough, we might not really need any other prey...or at least we won't be able to carry any."

[Mistpelt]

"After you!" she said. Mistpelt slowed as well, walking along side Deathclaw, her pelt brushing against his. "I bet I can catch more fish than you," she said, her voice smooth. It wasn't a competitive tone of voice, more as friendly.[/size]

He made a sort of 'puh' sound that mostly came out of his nose. "You wish little missy." Deathclaw was acutely aware of their pelts brushing, but he swallowed his feelings down further. 'Wait..., Deathclaw thought abruptly 'I do have more then a friend ship with her, I like her...a lot. Do I love her? Suddenly his heart skipped a beat before he settled himself down, all in the same two seconds. You like her, that' s all you know for sure Deathclaw, don't ruin your friendship by telling her how you feel. Besides, I bet she doens't even like you back. Deathclaw's words stung even him.

"So are you saying that if I jump in, you'd jump in?" His eyes glittering with the sudden idea of fun. In so many ways, Deathclaw was just like a young kit.

Snowpaw stalked slowly, sticking to hte shadows where her white pelt was less apparent. 'I can do this.' She told herself as she checked the direction of the wind again, the course had changed slightly, but in her favor. 'Thank StarClan.' She prayed silently a she crept among the bushes and trees, her pelt like light spots falling through the trees into the shadows.

[Mistpelt]

Mistpelt swallowed a little. What is this feeling I get when I'm near Deathclaw....? It's so....new! Could it be....I know I like Deathclaw....But do I...love him? thought Mistpelt, blinking a little. "Huh?" she said. "Oh!" she said, realizing the question. "Heh.....Sure!" she said, her eyes michieviously glinting. "Go ahead!" she said.

Deathclaw looked over her once, trying to decipher if she would actually do it. "Fine." With that, Deathclaw sprinted at top speed before hurling himself in the air and landing with a loud splash that sent water spraying. He had needed to wash his coat anyway. The white warrior emerged from the salt water, noticing tiny floating ice chunks. He chucked. "Come on in...unless your 'fraid." Deathclaw taunted the she-cat, attempting to stick his tongue at her.

[Lunar]

Snowpaw stopped at a safe distance and rolled her eyes at the two warriors. 'They're making dares like kit's.' She tought to herself as she settled down onto and rolled her eyes at the two warriors and laid down on her white stomach.

[Mistpelt]

"Ha ha!!!" mrrowed Mistpelt, her whiskers twitching. "I'll never forget that!! You sprawling up in the air! Okay, okay!" she said, preparing herself to jump. "One, two, three!" she yelled, racing foward to the water. A small mrrow escaped from her lips as she dived into the freezing water. "Aaah!" she yelled. "Cold!!" she yelled.

"You'd think I would have been born to Windclan wouldn't ya?" Deathclaw teased, though his body was shaking vigorously. "Okay, time's up, i'm out." Deathclaw said humorously as he pawed his way to shore. "I can't believe you actually jumped in after me, you mousebrain." Deathclaw joked as he liked his coat dry...or at least attempted. The wind made it worse for fact. "Woo, now that was some adrenaline." Deathclaw called to the tabby.

Glancing back over at Mistpelt he growled playfully. "Now get out of the water before you catch greencough or something!" Chuckeling, he could almost swear he was being watched, but he put it out of his mind and continued on.

[Mistpelt]

"Wah!" said Mistpelt, swimming to the shore and shaking her fur. "Ah, if I get greencough....I am going to be about as angry as a badger with a OceanClan warrior on its tail," she said, licking her paw and swiping it onto her ear. "How are you?" she asked, turning her head to lick her spine.

[Lunar]

'They're both going to catch greencough if they don't get back to camp and dry off.' Snowpaw thought as she nearly moaned, but held her tongue in fear of being discovered. 'But Blackbird told me to go meet deathclaw.' She contradicted herself.

Deathclaw sighed silently, it was useless. He knew it when he looked in her eyes. He was going to have to tell her. "Fine," Deathclaw began "Except, Mistepelt, I-" Deathclaw broke off, his mouth dropped and he inhaled deeply. The wind had switched and he had just caught a scent of Snowpay. The only problem is, this was fresh. A hiss escaped his lips as he darted into the brush, grabbing the apprentice by the scruff and dragging her out into the open before the white she-cat had a chance to re-act.

Plopping her down, his eyes burned with anger. "What are you doing here? I told you I'd take you out to explore the territory and battle practice later!" Deathclaw was furious. "Then on top of it all, you didn't even come right out to us. By the smell of things, you've been here for quite a while. I'd say only a few moments after we got here. Obviously you knew you had been doing something wrong or else you would have come forward!" Deathclaw could hardly contain his words. He began to breathe deaply, attempting to settle himself down. He had been so close to telling Mistpelt what he felt, and his apprentice would have heard him bare his soul on the line! Deathclaw's pelt bristled in anger.

Snowpaw looked up at Deathclaw with a defensive look on her face, her fuzzy white pelt bristling slightly. "I'm just doing what Blackbird told me to do, and that was to keep an eye on you and Mistpelt. Now, tell me what exactly did I do wrong, now?" She pouted as she sat down and curled her tail around her white paws.
