Halloween listened, but didn't say much. He obviously wasn't happy standing there in his wet fur, but he had assumed they wouldn't be staying around for long. However, he was wrong on that. However his answer was quick. "Give me a moment to dry off properly, then we'll hunt." He was still largely a loner by nature, and he ate when given the chance to do so, no questions asked. He politely stepped away from her and gave his pelt a quick shake down, a few strokes of the tongue to flatten his fur, and then he was ready. "Alright, the hunt is on....' He said with a grin.

He walked back over towards her, feeling and looking much better now that he was dried off. "Salty fur is gross." He said in a playfull tone before falling silent and following her example of lowering to the ground, walking silently along side her while his nose, ears, and eyes all worked to find prey. His nose suddenly twitched. "Squirrel, I think." He whispered softly to her, then opening up his mouth to try and pinpoint the scent better.

Halloween nodded and moved off away from her. His skilled nose worked out the scent, within five minutes or so he could see the brown squirrel near the base of a tree, burying nuts or something of that sort. Halloween took in another deep waft of the scent, licked his lips, and then stalked foreword. He had the advantage of being down wind, all he had to worry about was walking quitely. Suddenly he sprang, in an instant it was all over for the squirrel, the prey hung from Halloween's jaws as he began to back track, looking for his cohort, wondering if she'd found any prey herself.

Halloween spotted her coming towards him with two small birds in her mouth. He smiled and gave a nod. "Well looks like neither of us will be going hungry, and we'll have plenty to share with the other clan members." He said, obviously trying to sound and think like a clancat.

A shadow blended with the other shadows that lengthened as sunset drew near. The lithe shadow parted itself from the rest of the shadows. "Well done, Halloween," A familiar voice called from the tree-shade. Shimmering green eyes revealed the prescence of a jet-black tom, who stepped out of the trees. He had wandered a long time, but Midnight found himself drawn back to the Clan that had allowed him to stay for a while. Something about it made him return; something about the salty spray of the sea, or maybe just sheer love for the islands. Secluded from the mainland. Midnight related to the deposit of sea-land. "I have been watching you for some time now. Well done with hunting and the rest." He sat a small distance from the two, grooming a paw relaxedly.

Midnight chuckled, though it was wearily. He had traveled a long way before returning. Nodding slightly, he said, "Thank you, but isn't it against the warrior code to eat before the others have eaten?" He said it gently, not challenging Raptoreyes, but it was an hoest question.

Midnight thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, those circumstances would be bad, you're right." He quickly ingested the bird and stood. "So, what is next on the list to do?" He asked, grinning.

Midnight scuffled his paws awkwardly. "Well... I'm not technically a member of IslandClan." His hoarse mew was apologetic. "And besides, he says he knows IslandClan's territory fairly well. If this is so, there's most likely nothing to worry about." I wouldn't mind seeing everyone again though at the camp, the loner thought.

Blackpatch crouched, motionless, in the stiff, dry bracken that made up part of the undergrowth. Her bright yellow eyes were fixed on pigeon that had fluttered down through the trees and was scratching around in the sandy soil. Suddenly the wind changed, bringing the faint tone of voices to the tabby she-cat's sharp ears. Unfortunately, the bird heard them to. Flapping it's wings noisily, it rose into the air. Snarling in exasperation, Blackpatch gave a mighty leap and managed to hook a claw into her victim, bringing it to earth and swiftly killing it. Although she preferred to be alone at times, she decided it would be best to join the patrol nearby. Clamping her kill firmly in her jaws, Blackpatch pushed her way through the bushes, following the sound of the voices. As she rounded a tree, the she-cat stopped dead and dropped the pigeon. In the midst of the group was an unfamiliar tom. "Who's he?" she snarled, unsheathing her white claws and baring her fangs as her fur bristled.

Halloween watched curiously as Midnight arrived. "Hello, name's Halloween." He said in greeting, and then fell silent as the two began chit-chatting as if he was an old member of the clan. Did this clan make a habit of being nice to loners or something? Either way Halloween was not going to complain, hunting was good enough for him to keep his mouth shut about the taking in of loners like himself. While the two talked he munched on his food, listening curiously to these two. Suddenly another voice caught his attention, not a happy one either. He looked over towards Blackpatch and frowned. "Trust me, if I was trouble Raptoreyes would have already ripped me apart." He said defensively, then went back and took another bite of his food.

Blackpatch narrowed her eyes and twitched a whisker but said nothing more. She didn't have much time for Midnight, or any tom for that matter. She picked up her bird and snorted. "Whatever. Are you guys coming back to camp or will you just sit there chattering like a nest of jackdaws?" Not waiting for an answer, the she-cat plunged into the salty water and began swimming strongly for shore.

Reaching the mainland, Blackpatch set down her prey and gave her wet pelt a good shake, scattering water droplets everywhere. She picked up her pigeon and turned to see if the others were following.

Ribbonblade yawned and stretched, waiting until she heard the satisfying crack of her spine. She stood and glanced around, taking in the camp site. Nothing interesting was happening, but she pricked her ears when she heard Blackpatch and the others returning. She padded toward the shore with a mew of greetings.

Blackpatch flicked her tail to return the greeting of Ribbonblade. "Take a look at what the cat dragged in," she growled, nodded her head back towards Raptoreyes, Midnight, and the loner Halloween.

Immediately Ribbonblade's ears went flat and the fur along her spine bristled madly. She recognized Midnight, but the black-and-orange tom was a stranger to her. "Who is that? He isn't an IslandClan cat." She growled, eyes narrowed furiously. Her temper often got the better of her. "Does Jadestar know he's here?" She almost wished she hadn't said that last part, because she really did trust every single clanmate. "Is he a prisoner?"
