Duskpaw watched Sablestripe from an easy vantage point, a branch of the tree. Though relatively low, he could still see what was happening. As sablestripe yanked the she-cat's center of balance off, the dusty gray apprentice saw his chance and leapt out at her. He jumped onto her back, digging his hindclaws in so that she couldn't throw him off, and wrapped his teeth around her neck. His tail twitched in satisfaction, though he did not let down his guard.

Duskpaw released his clamped jaw as he saw out of the corner of his eye Speckleeyes walk into the underbrush. He shoved Lunapelt, hard, into the ground, and followed the tom. "Speckleeyes, don't mid what she says, she's just a crabby piece of half-fox-digested crowfood."

Lunapelt yanked her leg back in before kicking back out again with all her force. She knocked Sablestripe flat on the ground and hopped a few paces on three legs, wincing slightly. "Ouch. FOx-dung, that old injury again!" She growled. SHe set it back down and licked it a few times. I'll have to find a hide-away for now till my leg feels better. I'll find a nice hidden whole or small cave and hunt a little before settling down. She perked her ears in one direction as if something interesting, or perhaps dangerous, had suddenly popped up in a swift manor to which would be hard to see through to what it really was, sly deception. "Well, as much as i'd love to tussel, i'll have to bid you farewell for now." She meowed, dipping her head curtly before disapearing quickly.

"Not so fast!" Sablestripe snarled. She gave a mightly leap, hooking the tail in her claws. She drew back, clamping the furry apendage in her mouth. "You're not running away again, coward." she growled. "I really don't give a mouse-tail how good you are. This is my territory and you're intruding."

Duskpaw frowned. "She deserves no better than a thorn-encrusted bed of pinecones." He turned and darted around the corner of a bush, jumping forward as Sablestripe dragged the loner back. He caught his claw in her ear and jerked his paw forward in one swift motion, cutting her ear all the way down. His lip curled in disgust. "You'd better think twice about tussling with us," He meowed icily, blocking her way.

The dusk-gray apprentice glared at the rogue. "Well?" He demanded. His tail twitched impatiently.

Lunapelt slashed her claws over their faces with extreme force, snarling like something not human nor animal and dashed away while they were blinded for long enough to unhook her as she disapeared as quickly as she had come.

Duskpaw chased after her, snarling, charging with all his force and slamming the rogue into a tree, kicking her with his hind claws. He leered into her face and hissed, "If I ever see you here again, I will kill you." He shoved her one last time and ran back to the Clan's camp.

Shaking her head impatiently, Sablestripe glared at Lunapelt. She felt torn; she knew that Duskpaw had become her responsibility, and she should go after him. Lashing her tail, she growled, "You're lucky I have an apprentice to look after. This isn't over, so I suggest you watch your back, because this is my territory. I'll find. you." She whisked around, clawed her way swiftly up and around a tree and melted away.
