Muted, terrified of what might happen to her clan. Had left them there with the threat of the other clans right on their doorstep to run off and leave them alone because she felt a great need to speak with a few old friends. It pained her greatly to leave them, most probably thought she had disowned them to fend for themselves and die.
Its hand only taken her half and hour to reach Hightstones, and only a few minutes to do the thing she came to do, even though it felt like hours in there. Muted looked up to the sky, the stars glimmering, looking like they were watching her.
The air was cold, yet no breeze blew. Muted stood in the middle of it all, her green eyes calm, yet worrysome. Three cats stepped forward, one by one they became visible to her. One was Wolf, her old friend. The other two she wasn't quite keen on, since they came from the other clans.
Muted bowed to them, it was a great honour to be here, espescially one from Darkclan. "I am glad to meet you, I am in need of something of great importance." She looked sideways, her heart ached.
"We know. We've been watching you and the other clans for some time now. I also believe there is something that should be done here, there is no need for bleedshed for something Muted was told to do." Coonstar spoke, his brown eyes shot cooly at Wolf, who growled at him.
Coalstar stepped forward before the two could break out in an argument. "If you two want to argue, do it later. There is a more important matter to be tended to now." His green eyes met Muted's. If Muted had been a black cat, they would have look almost identical, except for the collar she wore. "But I agree that this shouldn't end in bloodshed, it was all a big misunderstanding that needs to be sorted out." He flicked Coonstar and Wolf a quick glance before looking back at Muted. "You are not to blame for this Muted, you only followed a friends words. It's not like you to do something like this."
Wolf growled, know full well that the two Starclan cats where obviously directing the blame onto him. Muted didn't look at any of them, just kept her gace to the black ground she stood on.
Coonstar stepped forward. "You will not be able to reach them in time to stop this, and I'm glad you came here. Coalstar and myself will take your place in stopping this, they will listen to us. But as for Darkclan, they can choose to listen to us, or not. I do not know how to make them believe us, since they do not follow the ways of Starclan.... but we will try."
Muted looked up, hope fulled her eyes, and a smile slowly crept upon her face. Coalstar then spoke, Muted never expected what he was about to say. "But, you must promise us, that you will tell the truth about you. Show them, whats beneath the collar." His green eyes flashed, then the three cats disappeared in a mist, leaving Muted alone. Sighing, she promised. I will, I will tell them all...
Sighing Muted slowly made her way back to the second Darkclan camp, fear, anguish and dread covered her like a blanket, smothering her like the thickest fog. She only walked on with the hint of hope that she reached Highstones in time for Coonstar and Coalstar to stop what was coming her her clan. Muted wasn't even sure it was going to be her clan much longer, since she knew there were a few cats who didn't want her to be the leader much longer.
But she continued to head back, even though she knew what was coming to her. Muted had to tell the truth, and that could only lead to trouble for her, maybe even death...
