Moonkit hissed in defiance at the implication that the Clans wouldn't be able to find them, and almost blurted aloud in her rage that StarClan would find them and bring the Clans to them, but resisted. I can't give up, 'cus everyone else has. I have to be strong... for Softkit. She knew the bad-tempered kit would be infuriated if she heard this, but it was only in Moonkit's head. She whispered in Fogkit's ear, "We can't give up hope... we need more time, though slipping away is a good idea. We should talk to that nice cat over there about it more, I don't think she wants very much to be here either." The gray-and-white kit flicked her ears in the direction of Kia. "We just have to trust that... that Midnight got the news across and they'll come for us soon." She drew in a ragged breath, steadying her shakiness.

He looked towards Moonkit slowly. "I don't think Midnight will be able to warn them. When I said I ran into a loner I meant Midnight." his words were harsh, he tried to catch the kit's eyes as though to tell her that it wasn't true. He looked over to springkit and sighed, "I guess since I brought you here I'm responsible for you." he walked over to the kit and grinned.

Moonkit was devastated. She stood in shock, mouth agape for a moment, on the verge of bursting into tears. Their last hope, gone! But then she caught his eye, and recalled that Midnight really was a loner- he was staying with IslandClan- and... She felt a prick of annoyance at the little detail of the fact that Jaquar ran into him. But she still trusted those eyes she had met. What if...? She dared not venture in her thoughts, were she to lose hope once again.

Fogkit gave Jaguar a hard stare with his small eyes. "He is coming," he said so only the kits and Jaguar could hear. "I know it." The kit twitched his tail in annoyance and thought about what they would do. They were heavily guarded. "Who can we trust?" he said to himself. |

Stone padded foreward to Fog. She bent her multi colored head to his. "I can help you escape, I know what I did was wrong, and if anyone stole my kits, I'd be heartbroken." Stoen whispered into his ear. She hoped no other cats could hear her, and that he would trust the queen. |

Moonkit nodded. She firmyl agreed with Fogkit; Midnight would come. He had to! But she did catch what Stone said, and felt her little heart warm. Though she didn't understand fully what it meant to lose one's kits, she felt loneliness, and missed her bed by her momma and Swiftpaw. "I wanna go home," She whispered, a tear sliding out of her small eye.

Springkit listened to the others once more, until she found herself in shadow. She looked up, her faded-blue-jean colored eyes widening to take in the sight of Jaguar. His voice as he had spoken to Moonkit, almost frightened her as much as Thorn's had. Yet, there was an air of... surprising comfort in the way Jaguar had looked at Moonkit... Springkit was able to catch it, despite the fear she had for looking directly in any of her captors' faces (her shyness had never been quite so pronounced as it was now).
...And again, the fear crept in and held her silent and frozen, as Jaguar stood before her, grinning. She waited for the tom's jaws to clamp around the scruff of her neck--all the while, wondering if she should trust him for even an instant. The confusion she held for her current situation, and that of her kit-kin, made her very uneasy. Just as Kia, she really didn't like to be confused.
However, something threw off her pondering, and again, Springkit turned to look at Moonkit.
Oh no... No! She couldn't cry... Because if she cried...
Springkit felt her own eyes grow misty, and she swiped at her eyes with the back of her paw.
"Stop it!" Springkit whispered to Moonkit, through tears of her own. "We need to be strong! We can't show our w-weakness..." She paused to sniffle, and swipe again at her eyes, this time with both paws. "That's just what they want!" She continued, her soft voice slightly gruff with pent up frustration. She wanted to go home just as much as the rest of them. And she knew how hard it was... But StarClan knew, they had to be strong!

Tiny overheard Stone,and told her "I was also thinking of helping them to escape.But I can't think of a good way.Can you think of any?"

The small kit scratched her claws on the eart, her misery tears long gone now. She hissed, and rolled in the dirt, thrashing about and taking out all her frustration on the ground and a small sprig of grass that now lay in tatters. Hissing, she bit at the grass, tore at it, until it was tiny ribbons. She raked her claws through the soil again, and stood, panting and dusty. Her eyes burned with the fire of hatred for their current situation. She lay down, closing her eyes and curling up, trying to disappear into the ground. Her outburst, she hoped, had not caused too much ruckus, but somehow Moonkit felt she needed to let it out.

Tiny saw Moonkit scratching her claws into the earth,and walked over,and said gently "Midnight will definitely come," hoping to comfort Moonkit.

He turned slowly as he heard Stone's soft whisper to the kit. 'Thank the skies above she'll help.' he prayed a silent prayer. "Good, then listen to what I tell you." he told her even softer into her ear. Jaquar then turned his gaze and raised an eyebrow to Thorn. "You might as well put her down, I think she feels left out." he said lying down slowly, but keeping his mocking eyes on Softkit.

Moonkit trusted Jaquar, though she didn't really understand why. Turning to him, she skittered over to him, and slid on the ground. Looking up at her with wide, pleading eyes, she asked as softly as she could, "Will we be escaping soon?" Her voice was barely audible. She layed down on the ground, staring up at the bigger cat. She wanted to be home, with momma, Swiftkit, and Softkit.
