_{Duskpaw inclined his head slightly in thought. "I can help.." He said to Whitefire. He felt embarassed. He knew he only wanted to be near her to get to know her. And yet, it would drive off suspicions about her. He knew she wouldn't hurt a fly, not if she could help it, and yet, he wasn't exactly sure how he knew this. Following Whitefire, he felt a little guilty at not being fully and completely loyal to JungleClan. She needs help... Duskpaw thought concernedly.}

"Duskpaw you should help," Dawnleaf said. "Helping a medicine cat should hold no shame since there is a truce." She padded towards the young apprentice and followed them. "I could help as well if you want Whitefire," she said to the other medicine cat.

Snowpaw watched as the leaders were getting ready to start the meeting. He wished that Goldpaw was here with him, but it could not be helped what with so few apprentices in the Clan. he wanted to help with the loners as well, but thought better of it, since he realized that the other cats must had noticed that he was being too friendly with them.

_{Duskpaw nodded, still a little ashamed that his emotions had been read so easily. Walking alongside Sandstone, he asked her again, "What's your name?" He sat beside her as the leaders began to jump onto the rock and the cats merged into one group.}

_{"My name's Duskpaw. I'm sorry that you're so... outcast. But, as you know, loners aren't allowed to roam, because prey is almost always somewhat scarce around here. I'm from JungleClan." He decided to leave out the question of how soon she would be kitting; that was not very tactful, and she may not know. She needed a medicine cat to see, to know how long it was before she gave birth. "Like I said, don't feel bad. I hope you can stay with JungleClan," He added. His voice was almost a whisper. He glanced up at the leaders gathering on the rock, and wondered where Jadestar, the IslandClan leader, was.}

Taintedstar coolly looked at the surrounding Clan cats, her green eyes sparkling in a strange manner. She didn't even glance at Tigereye, but gave a nod to the other Clan leaders to acknowledge she was ready to begin.

"Seems we are being held up." The calico leader pointed out, not even glancing at any Island cats as the words came out of her mouth. She said it with no tone in her voice and with no obvious indication she meant Jadestar, yet it was obvious that she was trying to prod at the tension that was enveloping the Ocean and Island cats.


Tigereye made no move to respond and defend, nor did he even give a flick of an ear or whisker to show he had even heard the she-cat speak. The Deputy knew better than to respond to such a comment or even acknowledge it, especially at a gathering, no matter how upset it could make him. He had learned long ago to just ignore rubbish. The dark featured tom went over to the vacant rock that IslandClan took up, but didn't explain his leader's absence. Tigereye sat down in front of the rock. Jadestar would be here shortly, but he was no messenger.


Brighteyes silently walked towards where Rainstar was perched and settled down on her haunches, wrapping her long-haired tail around herself. She scanned the area with bright eyes, not recognizing some of the felines she saw. The fur on the back of her neck prickled and she suddenly felt tense, but she said nothing.

A yowl sounded from above.
"I am here! The meeting may start."
Jadestar bounded in, anger in her eyes.
Her claws, unsheathed, were tipped with bright red blood.
"I apologise for my absense. I had a little bit of...trouble with a set of badgers."

Sunrise and Firepelt's heads both turned to the sound of Jadestar.

Hawkstar looked over as Jadestar finally showed up, and nodded. He didn't say anything, he was usually the last of the leaders to speak about things to everyone.

Whitefire guided Sandstone to the edge of the gathering spot and sat down next to the young she-cat. She could tell that Sandstone would kit, very very soon, and wondered if Taintedstar would let her stay at their camp until the kits were old enough to to leave. I'll ask after the gathering.

Rainstar was growing impatient waiting for everyone to stop being so amazed with a loner. Her tail tip flicking angrily. "Jadestar, you can go first."

Scarface hadn't really payed attention to the other cats, he had his eyes closed and was ignoring their stupidity. Only when he heard Jadestar finally show up did he open them again.

Sablestripe glanced up at Jadestar's yowl. Well, finally, she thought, sitting down and neatly curling her dark tail around her paws.

[Dragon]

Dawnleaf let out a relieved sigh and ended up sitting next to a young apprentice from MountainClan by the scent. She noticed that not many apprentices came to the Gathering. She was glad that the meeting was finally able to start.

Snowpaw glanced at each of the leaders, amazed by how all powerful they looked upon the four rocks that marked each Clan. Even seeing all the new cats excited him to no end. His eyes shone with delightment at his first Gathering.

Leafsong ,who had been waiting,was relieved when she saw Jadestar.

_{"They... they're not mad, there's just been some stuf going on lately that could put any cat on end." He didn't specifically mention anything, but he still hoped he had not given too much away. Duskpaw curled his tail around himself in anticipation.}

_{What am I getting myself into? "I'll make sure they won't hurt you; after all, you're just lost, you wouldn't hurt anyone yourself. And... you'll kit soon." He almost didn't add the last part, but he had to know if she herself knew that she'd kit. It seemed more than likely that she did, but nonetheless, he would rather know for sure.}
