Talonclaw walked quickly back to the warriors den.He needed more cats for the patrol,and was hoping that there would be some warriors in the warriors den.He walked over to Sunrise,and meowed "Could you go on the patrol?"

A light brown cat cracked an amber eye, then two. The warrior, named Bearspot, pushed himself up quietly, glancing at his sister, Blazeclaw, who slept next to him. "I can go, too." he said dryly to Talonclaw.

Sablestripe flopped down on the mossy bedding, the very picture of boredom. She lay on her side, head resting on one paw, tail flicking idly. Presently she discovered that by pressing down on a forked twig she could make spring high in the air before coming back down to earth. She amused herself for a few moments, then abandoned her game and rolled over on her back, glaring at the leafy covering of the den.
