"I know that. I was going to get some poppy seeds so it would at least die in it's sleep." she said this quietly and walked over to Goldpaw. "Death is not a triumph, though you have a right to see it that way." she said softly as she looked up at the gold she-cat. "I'm sorry about your father." she said slowly as she began walk further away from from them. She could smell something very faintly on the wind, it was sweet and warm like a memory, yet hard and cold. "Jaquar...?" she said softly as she ran towards the scent.

Jaquar curled up around the small kit in a effort to keep it warm, his torn pink pads bled from his travel into this new territory was a great ache on him. He looked up at the night sky and smiled softly as he remembered the nights he had spent with his sister sitting on the roof of there twolegs house watching the stars. "But I can't and never will go back to that life." he hissed softly. He looked down at the kit again and yawned. "I'll just rest my eyes for a little while he murmured softly as he lay his head down.
Lunar ran harder, her paws pounding into the ground with determination. Then she smelled what smelled like crowfood, but she knew that from what she had been told that it wasn't that. She could also smell something else through that smell, a fainter sweeter smell that she knew very well. "Jaquar!" she yowled with concern as she began to walk more slowly. She could see a dark grey shape curled up ahead as she walked closer to it.

Wildheart stood up and followed Lunar a short distance behind her. He too could smell it, although it was unfamiliar to him. Seeing a catlike shape, the fur along his spine bristled very slightly, his lips curling up to display white fangs.

Jaquar could hear the soft hissing and another cat calling his name. 'Lunar? Uh, oh time to go.' he thought picking up the kit and running further away, back towards DarkClan camp. He only slowed to cross the water again and after that started to run as fast as his paws could carry him.
"Jaquar!" she hissed taking off after the dark tom. 'He took a kit, why?' she questioned herself the entire time she ran. She could see his dark grey pelt getting farther away, but she kept going.

Goldpaw took a step towards Lunar but decided against it. She turned to Wildheart. "It's probably best that we return to camp now. They should be back from the Gathering by now."

Gritting his teeth, Wildheart looked after Lunar. "I should probably go after her," he mewed to Goldpaw. "Rainstar will be furious to discover our newest apprentice has already run off." He turned and pelted through the darkness in the direction Lunar had gone.
