What a bored kit gets up to...

Woodkit poked her mottled head out of the nursery, jade eyes full of exitement. She'd been bored, but now she was going to do something. She bounded out and pounced onto a leaf blown off one of the overhanging trees, punting it about in the air with a paw, but then saw something better. A butterfly!

Woodkit growled playfully, but then blinked in surprise as it acsended onto her nose. She stared cross-eyed at the butterfly for a second, but then; "Aa-AA-CHOOO!" She sneezed, and was delighted to see how far it flew before regaining itself and fluttering drunkedly off again. Bored again, she sat down and started to wash behind her ear, looking about aimlessly, waiting for something to captivate her.

She let out a meow of protest as Talonclaw escort her and the other kits back to the nursery, having just escaped. She sighed, and turned to the others. "Hey, where have you guys been? Did you get into trouble? Are you gonna be punished? Huh, huh?"
Typical of Woodkit, always sticking her nose in where it didn't belong. She blinked exitedly at them, waiting for an answer.

Leopardkit lowered his eyes. He felt bad about slipping out of camp, but Talonclaw had let the two off easy. It had to be luck.
"We're not really in trouble." He said, a bit gloomy. "He was just dissapointed with us, I guess."

"Oh..." She felt a bit awkward with the tone Leopardkit had taken. She tried to make him feel better. "Don't worry! I'm sure if you're good, he'll forgive you! And then, when you're an apprentice, you can work extra-hard to make him proud! After all, it's not that long before we become apprentices!" She was filled with glee and enthusiasum. She had practically been counting down the days until she was 6 moons. Except she couldn't count. "I'm gonna be a real good apprentice, and then I can become a mighty warrior, and win lotsa battles!" To demonstrate, she crouched, and sprang ontop of Leopardkit. "Like this one!" She giggled, batting him with a white paw.

Leopardkit's mood didn't improve. He was a rather sulky little guy...

"Yeah maybe he'll forgive us... hmm." Leopardkit was a bit consumed by his thoughts until Woodkit had pounced him. "Eeeek!" He squeaked, similar to a mouse.

Willowflower praced out of the nursery and looked up to the bright morning sky. She saw the sun taking its position and the clouds swirling around it. Her eyes sparkled in the light and reflected off of the water in front of her. She smiled and took her stare over to the two kits playing. She slowly padded over to them and sat down, letting them continue.
"Leopardkit and Woodkit." she called.
"Are you hungary at all?" she announced, tipping her head over to the fresh kill pile.

Leopardkit shook his head, too upset to eat.

"No." He said simply and politely, looking at the ground. He shuffled his forepaws a few times.

Copperkit had layed down at the corner of the nursery after Talonclaw brought then back to camp. His mood was broken when he got back, he wanted so much to become a warrior right this minute, he couldn't wait a moon and a half for his apprenticeship. Copperkit licked his fur a few times before watching Willowflower walk in, he kind of hoped it was Redwing.
He then thought about Leopardkit, and how he would have to wait another moon for his to share dens again. He could wait though, Leopardkit was his best friend.

"Why hello Copperkit. I see that you have returned. Are you hungary from your journey?" she said softly, nodding her head over to the fresh kill pile once again. Her sweet smile shown on her face towards the young cats.

Leopardkit let out a dramtic sigh and flopped down on the soft ground. He half-rolled over, soft coloured tummy exposed.

"I can't keep getting in trouble like this! I'll never become an apprentice! StarClan will come to me and laugh!" The young tom went on, shaking his head.

The sound of food did make him a little hungry, but he didn't feel like eating right now. "No, I'm okay. Maybe I'll eat something later." Copperkit stretched while laying down, then sat up and watched Woodkit and Leopardkit playing around.

Woodkit rolled off him, giggling at the noise he'd made. "Silly Leopardkit!" She purred, quite amused. She was about to bat him with her paw again, intent on getting him to play, but then Willowflower came out of the nursery. "Hi there, Willowflower!" She mewed happily. She liked the queen and how pretty and nice she was. "I'm not really hungry... i'm a bit thirsty though." She blinked at Willowflower. "Can we go get a drink? Then i'll be all set to wrestle Leopardkit!" She cocked her head in his direction, grinning cheekily.

Leopardkit eyed Woodkit questioningly, "Wrestle me? You can't wrestle me I'd win." He said gleefully. With every passing moment the kit was forgetting about the scene with Talonclaw that had happened earlier.

Arrowfeather watched with amusement, finally realizing that she had a vole in her mouth. She swapped it for a mouse and then padded softly over to the nursery. She couldn't help but smile at Woodkit's last remark. Maybe someday I'll get an aprentice with so much....fun, she thought, sitting down, gulping down her mouse at a leasurely pace.

Cooperkit grinned when Woodkit said she'd wrestle Leopardkit. "No way, I'd been the one to wrestle both of you, and still win!" He said crouching down and flinging his tail back and forth, a sly grin appeared on his face as his grey-blue eyes danced from either kit.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Willowflower purred, laughing a bit.
"I will take you down to the river. If you are coming, come over here." she mewed shuffling her paws so that she faced the direction of the river. Her smiled stretched across her face in amusement of the kits.
