Herbs

Alder Bark = Helps with toothaches

Aloe Vera = Speeds up healing of wounds; relieves heartburn and indigestion; also works as a laxative

Anise = Gets rid of bad smelling breath

Ash Tree = New shoots help ward off effects of an adder; Seeds relieve cramps

Rosemary Blossoms = Heals eye infections; cover up wounds around the eyes or eyelids

Broom = Poultices for broken legs and wounds

Borage leaves = Used to treat fevers

Burdock root = Used to treat infections, especially rat bites

Catnip = Helps cure bad case of Greencough

Celandine = Used to treat ailments of the eyes

Chamomile = Helps sooth a weak heart and to calm a cat

Chervil = Used to cure bellyaches

Chervil Root = Used to treat infection

Chickweed = Helps treat Greencough

Cobwebs = Put on wounds and cuts to stop bleeding

Coltsfoot = Helps cure Kittencough

Comfry = Helps treat broken bones

Crushed Iris Petals = Helps stimulate breathing during birthing; used for kits sore throats

Daisy leaves = Used to treat aching joints

Dandelion leaves = Used to calm a cat

Feverfew = Cools feverish cats and treats head pain

Ginger = Good for curing stomache aches

Goldenrod = Used to treat aching joints and stiffness; also used for severe injuries

Honey = Sooths a sore throat

Horsetail = Used to treat infected wounds

Juniper = Helps with coughs and belly aches

Lavender = Combined with feverfew to cure chills

Marigold = Cures Infection

Mouse Bile = Gets rid of ticks

Nettle Leaves = Used to treat swelling

Nettle Seeds = Counters poisons

Poppy seeds = Helps with pain; puts cats to sleep

Ragwort leaves + Juniper berries = Helps with aching joints

Sage Roots + Poppy Seeds = Helps with cracked paws

Snakeroot = Used to counter poisons

Snapdragon Seeds = Used to clear up ringworm; help rid the body of fleas

Tansy = Cures coughs

Heather Down = Helps with the indigestion of a kit

Thyme = Help to calm a cat

Watermint = Treats bellyaches

Wild Basil = Used to treat paw problems

Wild Garlic = Helps with rat poisons and other infections

Windflower Shoots = Used for stomach cramps

Yarrow = Used in ointments to soften paw pads; makes cats vomit

Other Herbs/Plants

Deathberries (yew) = of no medicinal value; bright scarlet berries that can kill a cat if they are not expelled quickly enough

Dock leaves = used to make a cat's coat slippery, also can be used as a surface for vomiting

Holly (berries) = of no medicinal value, poisonous like deathberries

Nightshade = of no medicinal value; is poisonous
